well basically folks it's not LSU's problem if you can't find a hotel room. In reality there are many college campus' around the country that have that problem regardless of a hurricane or not. I doubt that they spend much time on discussing fans motel rooms. That's a supply vs demand issue. Motels are going up around here and Oxford like mad. Because there aren't very many and visiting SEC teams like to stay somewhere. Sure it's a concern to them, but you could drive another hour and find one. I could see it being MORE of a concern if it were permanent. It's not. they may be discussing the facilitys themselves. ON CAMPUS. Traffic on and around Campus would be something to consider. I'm sure they want to provide for the victims of the hurricane and not overlook them for a football game. I think they can do both. I am sure we'll be seeing some football in TS this weekend! :geauxtige
As far now forget about Lafayette. I have not personally checked but I do know that statewide the Gov passed some bill that say no evacuee that can pay for a room will be diplaced by other people whohad reservations forother events. A Labor day MDA motorcycle ride had been cancelled becausethe hotel and its parking lot are full. I also heard that if rooms become available there is a waiting list don't know how true this is. Things can change. IF you do get a room for that weeked let us know.
So you are that ******* doing 90 over the basin? takes a normal person a good hour to get to BR from Lafayette, but to each his own..
There are more LSU fans that will not be able to attend the game than ASU fans. And that is unfortunate. But it is important that the teams get to play and there will be plenty of people in the stadium.
CO skip said in the paper the game would be played here. Maybe things have changed, but til they announce it thats what I'm going on.
Thanks. All of the indications point to the game being played in Tiger Stadium. You would think the more time passes without an announcement to the contrary, the more the game being played in Tiger Stadium looks like a certainty.
I am starting to feel confident that it will be played in Tiger Stadium. Tomorrow is Monday and if they were going to move the game I feel as though it would have been done by now. I believe the fact that ASU officials are/were in town to evaluate the situation is indicative of that. In any event, we should no something in the next 24/48 hours one way or the other.
