Tempe is 300 miles from Las Vegas. Not quite a day trip.

I'm amazed at that. Saban makes one passing comment about trying to schedule Arizona St and Gilbeau stretches it into an article.

I think we should play a mid-major conference 1A team with a good record rather than one from a major conference with a crappy record. I know that their record then wont be what it is now, but I would rather kick the crap out of TCU and get credit for their record with 10 wins than kick the crap out of cellar dwellars in the Pac-10. Hell, we might be better off playing Tulane or USM. I mean, the Western Illinois game was better for us this year than the game against a 2-8 Arizona team. At least the Western Illinois game doesnt count at all in our BCS SOS.

Actually, the Western Illinois game counts in the BCS SOS in the worst way. All of there Div I-AA losses count, as do their opponents Div I-AA losses, but their Div I-AA wins do not count. There Div I-A wins count (1) however.
