    zzzzz. whatever.

Obviously you care about being "brought down" via the rep points system. Don't front.

There is no other way to judge subsequent "actions" of people on this forum but whether or not you agree or disagree with their opinions. Like red55 said, "we are all anonymous Internet characters".

Sure it is. Do you surround yourself with people who disagree with you? I doubt it. That makes for a very unhappy life.

So then you honestly feel that you can be an accurate judge of character based on whether or not you agree with certain people?

You doubt it, but you're wrong. And the answer is staring you right in the face, literally. Why do you think I frequent Free Speech Alley? I know that most southerners are hardcore republicans, and that I disagree with many of their stances on prevalent issues. Let me ask you, how does it strengthen your views to surround yourself with people who will never challenge you and agree with everything you say? That might make you feel better, but it does nothing but weaken you ability to defend your stances. So yes, I come here to challenge others' opinions, and to fortify my own.

Further, I don't base with whom I surround myself on whehter or not I agree with them. My entire family is very republican. I disagree with many of my friends on plenty of issues, political or otherwise. I choose to surround myself with people who are honest, respectful, and intelligent. I can completely disagree with someones opinion. But if they can back it up with something concrete, I will completely respect it.

If my actions and beliefs are morally correct in my sight, then opposing actions and beliefs must be morally incorrect. Is this too difficult for you to understand?

My views don't need strengthening. I don't claim to have all of the answers, and I can remain open-minded, but my life's goal is not to win debates.

    Again, congrats.

Hahahaha! Did you just compare sports opinions to morality? That's hilarious! Life must be pretty damn boring when you simply dismiss all other individuals who don't see things exactly as you do. I'm glad as hell that myself and my loved ones don't think like that. Oh, and don't hurt yourself falling off that moral high horse.

Well I beg to differ. But if that's your mindset, you have no business arguing them because you will get lambasted.

It has nothing to do with a 'life goal', or winning debates. In case you don't know, debates on forums aren't 'won' or 'lost'. And if debating period is not your goal, this might not be the right forum for you. In fact, forums in general might not be right for you.

I'm glad you're glad. Last time I checked, this particular section is a political and religious section, not one for expressing sports opinions.

Doesn't make me any less right, just means that the idiots are more vocal.

This coming from the relative TF.Com newbie.

You said your views need strengthening, so that is why you hang around people whose differ from your own. I don't need that, so I don't. It was simply a response to your post.

Ok, this is what i'm saying, it is both ways.
If you read some of my posts around here you'll see I was making that case,
for instance chaos trashing Tom Delay while some of the Democrats do it and
    he could care less.

I DON'T read FightinTigers post that much, What I do see is thread after thread by Rex and others on the left and their agenda.

The problem with Chaos is his use of the American language, He belittles you
are attacks you while debating such as earth to whoever, newsflash.
His demeanor is somewhat arrogant, its like he is above the rest of the world.

I would disagree Red, I see way more far out liberal propaganda here than
conservative, maybe its because a red flag comes up for these, I don't know.
I would bet that Rex has more posts here than any conservative.

You had to check to make sure of that? Dang. However, in your justification for 'redding' those with differing opinions, you referenced people who 'red' you for your sports opinions.

Oh now it's clear. Only idiots disagree with you. You've got a lot of harsh lessons about life in the mail...

I knew you couldn't keep your internet pseudo-elitism covered up for too long. Now, do you mind explaining what that has to do with anything, or how it makes my statement any less valid? And just for the record, I've participated on various forums for 7 years now.

That is not what I said at all. My views don't 'need' strengthening. But it is enjoyable to challenge them, so I subject them to adversity. And there is a major difference between participating in FSA and 'hanging around' people. What you obviously did not understand about that was that I do not attempt exclusively surround myself with clones. How that escaped you, I don't know. Maybe you're too busy trying to be a smartas$.

"Last time I checked" is a common euphemism for "you should know this, dumba$$". You should know that, dumba$$.

Not a justification, mind you, just examples of people who red me for my differing opinions, which you are so against.

Or do they? It's all relative.

You shot first, I'll shoot back. I've participated on forums, the Usenet, and IRC since 1992. Do you really want to get in a "I'm smarter at computers and the Internet" pissing contest with me?

This all started because you had to whine about receiving negative rep points. I've whined about that before and got blasted, now it's your turn.

On this forum you will receive red for posting opinions that others disagree with, and you better learn that and learn it fast. Doesn't have much to do with who you or I surround ourselves with in real life. Shame you can't understand that one.

Getting personal, huh? Well you, genius, completely missed the sarcasm in my retort (oh, since you lack the ability to decipher sarcasm, the 'genuis' comment was that as well). Kid, if you want to get in a smartas$ constest with me, go right ahead. But you will get your as$ handed to you like you just did, I can promise you that. Sarcasm is my modus operandi, but I try to contain it amidst serious discussion.

Actually, you are the one who thinks so much less of people who have the audacity to have opposing opinions to yours. That's pretty much what you've reiterated in your last few posts.

No, I did not 'shoot first', as much as you would like that to be the case. Your 'newbie' comment was uninformed, and had the high and mighty overtone that suggested I just learned how to use the internet yesterday. I corrected that. I know people like you. It makes you feel more self-assured to imply that others aren't privy to your vast knowledge of these types of things. My suggestion to you would be to just get over yourself. It's really not that significant.

Blasted?!?! Pssssshthahaha! You think you are capable of 'blasting' me? You think that what you, or anyone else, relates through the freaking internet could possibly amount to getting 'blasted'? Sensitive little fella, ain't ya?

Oooooh, I better, huh? Or else what? I've already told you that I could not care less about it. I'm sure you don't believe me, but that's something else that I could not care less about. Why don't you explain to me why I should give a rats as$ about rep points anyway? Do you get special powers? Do you get to show of to your collection of internet friends how well-liked you are?

Shame you can't understand the same points I've explained nearly half a dozen times...

Whether or not you care about rep points has little import to me. Your posts, over and over again, have proved that you really DO care about them, and the "I'm on another level because I respect others' opinions" posturing bears that out. With each post it shows.
