McCain and Clark were the candidates that most interested me in 2000 and 2004 respectively, but they didn't make it to the show. I think McCain has a big jump on Clark for the moderate vote in 2008.
I don't know. I think McCain is good for the Vietnam Vet sympathy vote and that's about it. I think Clark needs to run on the R ticket though.
I wonder what candidates are out there that we haven't been spoonfed as being the only contenders? Seems like we get the same tired old names every few years.
How about Stephanie Herseth (D-House of Representatives) of South Dakota? I'm not sure what her platform is, but for a public servant, she's HOT. Plus I think she's a first termer.
Much to the dimay of what should be all Americans, regardless of party affiliation, one of the names I've head is that slimeball Tom freaking DeLay. It appears as if the right will continue its wreckless pursuit of the hardcore neo-conservative image. As red pointed out, this may very well be their downfall. I guess the benefit to hearing DeLays name is that he would be an easy defeat for his opponet. I would vote for John McCain in a heartbeat. Hell, I know a lot of democrats that have said they would do the same. I love that dudes approach to politics. Unfortunately, thought, I don't think he will run. He's too moderate for the neo-cons to endorse, and frankly, he doesn't want to represent that brand either.
All Americans? Speak for yourself, there is nothing wrong with Tom Delay other than the media trying to crucify him for his stance on the Terri Schiavo Case. Oh yeah, I know, you would want to crucify Jesus Christ. I like John McCain, I just don't think he would make a good president. His campaign finance reform sure didn't work btw. Reckless pursuit of hardcore Neo-conservative image, how about agenda? Like we haven't been attacked by the Neo-leftists in this country with CBS, NBS, ABS, not to mention the judicial system in this country for years. Such as Roe vs Wade, etc. How about the people vote against gay marriage and then time and time again the courts over turn the vote? So, tell me what has Delay done for you not to like him? Its proven that the Democrats have taken trips funded by their people as well, John Breaux, Robert Waxler and others. I know you just hate conservatives!
I've made this point before. There is no such animal as a neo-leftist. If there were, said neo-leftist would not be concerned with anything other than blazing up and knowing which teletubby is gay. Would have no political agenda whatsoever and therefore would not be a threat to anyone. Notwithstanding allegations that attacks on House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's (R-TX) ethics are a conspiracy by "liberal media," newspapers across the country that have previously endorsed President Bush have questioned DeLay's practices in editorials -- with some even calling on him to step down as majority leader. Staunton News-Leader (Staunton, Virgina); Lincoln Journal Star (Lincoln, Nebraska): Winston-Salem Journal (Winston-Salem, North Carolina): San Antonio Express-News: Dallas Morning News: Omaha World-Herald (Omaha, Nebraska): All but one of these newspapers endorsed President Bush in 2004. The Winston-Salem Journal declined to endorse either candidate, but noted that it had endorsed every Republican since Richard Nixon in 1968, including Bush in 2000, based "in part out of a belief that Republicans are more dedicated to fiscal and personal responsibility and trying to control the growth of government."
Wow, Just because you say there are no neo-leftists make it so, amazing. Let's talk about our liberal media, it doesn't matter who endorsed Bush, everyone knew Kerry was a joke. Why don't you make the point valid to where we are talking about the same issue instead of 2 different issues? Look at the controversy from both sides for once instead of comparing apples to oranges. Tom Delay and his trip overseas compared to Robert Wexler, John Breaux and many Democrats have done the same thing and no story. Heck, I could make any point by comparing apples to oranges
As you have never yet failed to do. Over and over and over again. Why do you keep trying to justify "your facts" not with rebuttal facts, but with "but, the other side did wrong things too." That's highly illogical reasoning. And it's more than just DeLay's trips. How about paying his wife and daughter $500,000 over a three year span? I mean, I throw some crazy stuff out there. But if someone hammers home that i'm wrong, I'm the first to step up and admit, gee you got me, I just made that up. Or gee, I didn't know all the facts but now that you pointed that out, I guess i'm wrong. CBS Evening News broadcast an interview on April 12 with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA), who bluntly dismissed House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's (R-TX) attempts to blame Democrats for his ethics problems. Gingrich said that "DeLay's problem isn't with the Democrats. DeLay's problem is with the country,"
How about Nancy Polosi paying her son to run her office. The point is both sides do these kind of things.
