saying something is true is not equivalent to it being true or 50% chance of being true. you can say anything. i can say have the winning lottery number. and we think about it and decide that the chance that is true is whatever it is, one on 100 milion or whatever. and statements about reality, they have probabilities that they are true. and we look at the evidence and we figure it out.
