Really. Give me an example of a charity that provides free health care to everyone that needs it.

There is St. Jude, if you happen to be a child with cancer. If you're a grad student with cancer who provides free care? They can't just get a job and insurance. The insurance providers damn sure won't insure someone with a preexisting condition.

I challenge you to document that there are enough voluntarily provided charities to take care of America's uninsured people.

Spoke to a health insurance agent about this yesterday and he indicated that this was actually only about 25% of the uninsured in the country. Another 25% have enough money and refuse and 50% are illegal aliens. I don't know this for fact but I would think he would know. If he's correct, it looks like we know where our problem is.

I never said free. Not to mention you keep saying "American's uninsured people" . Why don't you quantify what that number is of those that actually use health care services? It's not 46 Million.

Hell I even pay for insurance and haven't been to the doctor in 10 years.

I would also like to hear your comments on what you think insurance is and what it should cover? Maybe I should direct you to the definition of insurance instead of this pre-paid care that you envision:

Since you did make a challenge and I won't use the extreme example of cancer but more the every day issues of health care:

He is quite wrong. Roughly 80% of the uninsured work full time jobs. I don't know the breakdown between idiots who can buy it and don't and the ones who just can't afford it.

Doing nothing about the massive deficits is not a viable option either and Obama's health care plan will undoubtedly add to those already massive deficits.

The massive deficits projected by the Obama administration for the next decade is also an unsustainable situation and there's no doubt that Obama's health care plan will only make an already direr situation worse. I don't claim to have all the answers to health care reform but I do think we need to have tort reform with caps on liability. We also need more competition in the market place with moderate regulation over the free market. At this point in time the last thing we need is another massive government program that we can't afford.

You always claim to be a proper balance advocate but don't seem to mind another expensive government program that will only add to the massive national debt. Where is your pay as you go mentality you have advocated in the past? Do you even consider that the massive debt might bankrupt the country or at the very least lead to anemic growth for years to come?

I think health care is fundamentally broken. If the people of this country were to pay for their health care rather than having insurance pay for most of it, we'd be pissed. Going to the doctor is expensive, but most of us end up paying only a fraction, so we aren't directly affected and worry about something else. Doctors make out like bandits. Lawyers too.

    Good point with the lawyers.

Obama want's Govt Ins. but won't put a cap on malpractice lawsuits to stop the huge increase in pricing from their malpractice insurance premiums.

    What a F'in joke.

So let me get this straight, bho's plan will cost a trillion dollars and only provide care to 1/3 of the currently uninsured? How is THAT a good idea?
