1. truth of the matter is, folks, is that MSU is a really good team. Their offensive and defensive lines are just that much better as I feared. The Wisconsin game showed that we were very soft but their coach decided to get a little too cute passing the ball and sat their best player on the bench.

The qb play of jennings was pretty awful but just a symptom. Im not sure who gets the blame for it all because it was all bad. We are simply young and rebuilding this year. No need to get crazy. This team will get better.

  2. I like running 4 times from 2 yards out regardless who knows you are running. That is if you give it to your best back all 4 downs. No one is stopping hilliard or williams 4 plays from there. The qb sneak was not a good decision.

  3. I think they'll give a much better effort next time out. I'm sure the coaching staff will have their attention now... There's always a tendency to make the team either better or worse than they really are based on the last game. I gotta believe LSU is better than the last game. God I hope so!!

  4. the worry is you cant teach size and strength. We are going to have to change philosophy to be successful and/or overhaul the offensive line. Maybe we can pass block and develop a passing game but this should have been done against the patsies. We'll get a chance vs New Mexico St. Its just really disheartening Les always wait til we get our asses handed to us to even think of making changes. It was crystal clear vs Wisky.
  5. I only like it if you have an O Line who can block

  6. It shouldnt matter. They can still get 2 yards. Also, whats the alternative? Jennings passing in limited space? Not very good odds. Much less than running. We dont really have a speed back to the outside. Fournette is unimpressive thus far but he looks good catching passes out the backfield. Maybe that was the play we needed.
  7. The play we needed on 4th down was a field goal.

  8. that wouldnt have helped. We made it close at the end due to Mullen playing scared. He almost blew it but we were dominated on both sides of the ball all night.

  9. True but at the time the failure to score killed any momentum and gave a big momentum boost to the cowbells

  10. maybe. but there was no changing the outcome of that game. at least we made it look close on the scoreboard to those who didnt watch it. which is probably most of the voters.
