So how do you bring jobs back? Tax more? Make it law? Tell me your solution to get us more jobs here. Then tell me how the economy will grow from it.
Pay attention. I'm saying that we need to protect our critical infrastructure. We simply cannot send all of our steel mills and shipyards overseas for the sake of some extra corporate profits.
That’s not attrition that was politics…. War is mean and ugly. We effectively killed about 100k Japanese civilians with two bombs. Case closed. You offer nothing, you say we can’t why? What are the pro’s vs. cons?
I am beginning to understand that you do not understand the principle behind war. You say we need the infrastructure here in case, the ENTIRE point of being a world power is to be ready for that day, not to take over our industrial base and build after the fact. Attack first… The threat of death from nukes is all we need to prevent a world war along with a “willingness” to use them as we did in WWII. As you have muttered before, the use of Special Forces and drones are all we really need these days to prevent uprisings with the main bulk of our forces in strategic positions, globally, around other super powers to prevent such an attack.
Then learn me something. What I get from you is that you want a defensive position and ramp-up once the war starts. You again offer nothing.
Strategic, operational, and tactical planning for the widest range of war scenarios is a complex topic and a derailment of this thread. Feel free to start a new one, but it will get very specific very fast and range over many issues.
I never said I was an economist, but I do know what works and what doesn't work for the good of the majority of the people. This system we have now, benefits an extremely small percentage of Americans while forcing the majority to become a pseudo slave populous. The question was about Mitt Romney and I gave my opinion on the guy. As far as the other guy, I'm not going to sit here and pretend he is awesome because he isn't. He is just far less terrible than what Mitt Romney would be. Obama is a liar, an elitist himself, and in a way, a kind of worse one, because he has had plenty of chances to take a stand on all sorts of issues and has in my opinion exposed himself as a "business as usual" politician. The kind of guy that speaks one thing and does nothing about it because he wants to keep his job any way he can. You are all for wild wild west free market bloodsucking capitalism, and think things like the Market fixes everything, oh someone is a criminal, RELEASE THE MARKET, like it's the fucking Kraken or something. Some company is selling shit products that make people sick, or get people addicted, or are completely bad for them, or rig the system to maximize profits at the expense of millions, RELEASE THE MARKET. The reason regulation doesn't work is because all these corporations and banks have been allowed to regulate themselves, and buy off the regulators. The entire system is gamed.
