Possibly. 1 thing is sure to me, though... greatest offense ever. No doubt. Defense came together at the right time too. We definitely are on the short list.
For sure this team has done things no other team has done, but some of that is the era we are in with the playoffs. So these records will fall, like 4 teams in the top 5. The offense has hands down put itself in the conversations, our record has put us in the conversation, our awards have put us in the conversation. The Defense was for sure not lights out like other years, but you know what. They were a championship defense in the end, and they did everything they needed to do to win 15 games. Geaux Tigers If someone were to argue the 95 Nebraska team or some other team I would not split hairs with them. But they can't argue we are not in the conversation.
Definitely would feel good putting this team up against any other. Not sure our D, OL, or ST would be among the best, but as a whole.
I was hard on the D all year. They stepped up. These offenses are not like they were in 2011. Awesome team effort.
