I guess I should have not said losers in my statement, but when all is said and done and the pundents line up "who added who", it will look like the SEC did not add as many strong teams to their conference. I agree at the end of the day, re alligment or not, the SEC still shines. I am not for the re allignment. I think it would be a shame to lose some of the college rivalries due to larger conferences. But, I agree, we do not really need to add any more good teams, we have too many already. Maybe going after tv viewership and dollars will benefit each University more than trying to add better teams. By the way, I do believe that IF we add weaker teams, they will eventually recruit better because of the desire of kids to be in the sec, and some of the weaker teams now may be stronger teams in the future.

Intriguing to talk about the quality of the teams that may be coming. Not a huge concern of mine. I WANT a playoff in college football. If mega-conferences get us closer to that playoff, then sign them up.

Too much money in the pot for teams to leave, that's what it all boils down to. And we don't have retarded conference that favor teams like Texas and OU, making the rich get richer, while holding the poor (baylor) down.

I don't think Vandy is interested in going the way of Tulane.

Am I an arrogant SEC fan? Yes, sort of, but only when Pac-10 fan starts dissing on us, otherwise, we are just proud of our region and our schools.

I personally believe that no conference is safe from being raided even the SEC. Every school is looking out strictly for itself, and if another conference say the Big 12 comes calling to Arkansas and allows them to have a bigger share they would go back to the SWC/Big 12. I don't think LSU would be above doing the same. In fact, just an opinion but LSU and Arkansas would fit better in the Big 12 as the SEC politics are dominated by Bama and the Eastern Division Schools. The championship game always being held in ATL is unfair to LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss (no concerns yet), and Miss State. I think it needs to rotate within the conference similar to how the Big 12 does it to allow the further west schools to have a chance to even the # of fans. I would miss the SEC rivalries but I think LSU gets slighted by the conference on a routine basis. The SEC pecking order (take off the purple and gold glasses and look objectively) is Bama, Florida, Tenn., UGA, tie between LSU/Aub, Tie between Ark/S. Carolina, then the rest.

Isn't the 'official line' because it's played in December and Atlanta has the Georgia Dome? Of course 'we' have the Superdome in NOLA. Seems to me it could at least be rotated between the two of them. Or do FL, AL, MS, SC, KY, AR, TN have domes that I'm not aware of?

Being a traditionalist, I alway picture the conferences in my head by geography and their core. The Big East I picture New York. The ACC I see North Carolina. The SEC I think gulf coast. The Big 12 I think Midwest. The Big Ten is upper midwest. The Pac-12 is the Pacific coast. Once these lines start getting crossed, the chemistry changes....rivalries are lost. LSU is definitely a SEC school all the way. I don't want to see LSU vs. Kansas on Nov.25. No thanks. The thought of Ok and Tex going to the west is just scary. Hopefully they'll get their **** together and rebuild the Big 12.
