I voted "NO". We won 9 games this year. We had a great recruiting class last year, may have a top 10 this year, and next year's looks awesome as well.

I think 327 hit on some really good points.

Also, I think we've fallen behind 2 other programs in our own conference - 'Bama and Florida. They've out recruited us, out coached us, and the last 2 years they've wanted it more than we have. They have done everything better than we have and it shows.

Look at the buzz around those 2 programs. "Positive energy" as that one coach calls it. We no longer have that. Everyone is sitting around waiting for our team/CLM to screw up again so they can say, "I told you so."

If we really want this team/ program to be successful, we need to surround them with positive energy.... encouragement, etc. Our negative attitude doesn't help one bit.

The negatigers are really driving me crazy. We won 9 games and lost 4. 2 of those losses were by 2 points each. 2 points.

Mike Davis grew up a Longhorn fan and was LSU bound until Texas offered him a scholly. He gets to live his dream. It would be the same with me if LSU offered me and I had committed to bama.
Same with Cassius Marsh, if USC offers, he goes to USC. I believe USC will offer.

The coach recruiting Hunter is gone. Gonzales or Walker will have to work hard on him to turn him back.

I don't think the wheels are falling off. I think LSU did a poor job recruiting at QB for a few years (including at the tail end of Saban's regime), and when RP didn't work out, we were left with a bare cupboard. That's been the bulk of our problem. Can GC develop a QB, who knows? He had to start JL and JJ as basically redshirt frosh. It takes longer than that to develop a solid starting QB, go look at Colt McCoy at Tex. He started as a redshirt frosh after VY left, and he struggled his first year under center. Each year, he got better. That's what I expect. There's no guarantee a young QB will develop, but even if he has talent, it will take time, years.

Our recruiting has been solid for years, still is. The kids we are losing are out of state, and for other reasons, IMO. When they come from a long way off, some will not complete the transit. Les did a great job getting those OOS kids interested.

Last year we were right there with Bama and Fla, huge improvement from the year before (a truly BAD year, the co-def coords sucked). That's what I wanted to see, and that's what we got. Bama and Fla. both had big advantage at QB, and we were right there. That advantage shrinks next year, cause I think JJ will make more progress from soph to jr, than McElroy will make from jr. to sr.

Concerns remain on offen. play calling and offensive line execution, and clock management.

There is room for improvement, but no way the wheels are falling off.

Leave it to an outsider to have a rational perspective.

If LSU's wheels are falling off b/c of a few recruits and a 8-5, 9-4 season, does that mean:

Bama in 2007 wheels fell off?
    Auburn?
    USC this past year?
    ND?
    OU?
    Florida in 2006?

ALLof these teams above and a bad season or more and still recruit VERY VERY GOOD. LSU is no different.

My point is that these things happen. EVERY SINGLE TEAM in the NCAA has gone through this at some point.

LSU will still have a top 10 class after having the Number 1 class from last year.

All it takes is 1 good season, 1.....

Cause it's not true. Florida started a defense almost all fresh three years ago and Bama has started/played a heap of freshmen- don't recall the actual numbers but they're up there.

Also, the wheels fall off we LSU fails to get 4 and 5 star Louisiana players..........

You can just toss up out of state players, so many things factor into those guys.

The wheels aren't quite falling off, but it seems the air in our tires is low - we may even have a flat or two. The guy at the wheel has also shown signs of being a sh!tty driver.

I don't know if the wheels will ever fall off under Miles, but I don't feel like he's steering us in the right direction.

They are not off but it might be prudent to pull over ( fire crowton ) and check to see that the spare holds air ( recruit some beef up front)

assuming Miles has a trunk key..... jus sayin...:hihi:
