Are the pollsters held accountable for their ballots?

If they vote the way you mention, it does not help USC. The only way USC gets help (because of the computers) is if the voters create distance between USC and LSU

If they voted they way you say, LSU and OU still get to the sugah by virtue of the computers.

Our only demise can come if OU is wedged between a #1 USC and a #3 LSU

In the coaches poll, we were about 60 or so spots ahead of OU.

More votes for OU @ #1 and more votes for LSU @ #3 closes the gap, and gives OU a chance to catch us in the human polls.

Yes, this has been my point all along. Not voting for LSU at all would be too obvious. So, to help OU edge out LSU in the human polls, voters would vote 1. OU 2. USC 3. LSU (or UM if they really had balls)

I get what you saying now........

Enough first place votes for OU can compensate for OU being voted #3 in all the other ballots.

Interesting.....they did get 8 first place votes n the coaches poll.

8 first place votes in the coaches poll is truly questionable. Which coaches do you think voted for OU #1? I just can't see it at all. Makes zero sense to me. But let me ask you this, which group is more "ethical," college football coaches or AP sports writers?

Aaargh, just get the thing over with. :cuss:

    OU Victoms and USC supporters

I bet the 8 #1 votes came from OU victoms that want OU to make it to the NC game so they can say they lost to the NC and some of the USC (Pac 10) supporters that want to get the BSC money from a USC berth.

I dont agree with it but I do think a lot of it has to do with perspective. OU has tradition and 3 great years and LSU has not been getting the press until lately.

I will be happy going into the game as the underdog!
