In a startling annoncement ten minutes ago, Nick Saban has decided not to go with a quarterback next season. Instead the ball will be directly stapped to the RB or receiver who is designated to have that ball that play. That ends any alleged QB controversy !
267% rise in ticket sales Ole Miss Football Season Ticket Sales On Record Pace Officials encourage fans to get their tickets before they are all gone. OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss athletic officials are extremely pleased with early season ticket sales for the 2004 football campaign, it was announced here Thursday by Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations Sans Russell. According to Russell, as of April 29, Ole Miss football season ticket sales are ahead of last year's pace by a whopping 267 percent, with over 5,400 more season tickets already sold this year as compared to the same time last year. "If this sales pace continues, just about the only way you will be able to attend an Ole Miss football game this fall will be to own a season ticket," Russell said. The Ole Miss ticket office sent out over 42,000 season tickets last year. "This is absolutely the best early start to the football season ticket sales campaign we have ever experienced," he added. "I strongly urge anyone wanting to be a part of the 2004 season to immediately send in their ticket order. If you don't have an order form, call 1-888-732-8587 or go to our web site, www.olemisssports.com, and order your tickets." Picked to finish fifth in the Southeastern Conference's Western Division, Ole Miss claimed a share of the SEC West title with eventual BCS National Champ LSU, which was the Rebels' first league football title of any sort since winning the conference crown in 1963. Following their 31-28 victory over Oklahoma State in the SBC Cotton Bowl Classic, the Rebels ended the 2003 campaign with a 10-3 overall record and No. 13 final national ranking. It was also Ole Miss' first New Year's bowl since the 1991 Gator Bowl against Michigan.
The only way I believe they are up by 5400 tickets now as compared to last year, is if they weren't selling at this time last year.
Damn the secret is out. Nick has a "secret" QB recruit coming in this fall who will put an end to all the speculation about who will lead the Tigers throughout the 2004 season, his name is Surely Johnson and I heard he does like to jest. Can't wait to see him.
