Well it seems to be pretty obvious. Most people if they dont like a coach will voice displeasure but not so frequently as you. Pardon me for inferring your hatred is personal. I'll say that it "appears" that your hatred for the coach is personal. I dont think anyone can honestly hate the coach that much without it being personal. If its not personal, then it's pretty sad how far your hatred for his coaching or whatever it is has gone. Your constant crap about JB and insulting of the anyone who supports him is pretty lame. The name calling is old too.
This issue is simply about economics. Bertman decides what will cost us more money. Firing Brady and buying out his contract or keeping him around even though attendance will be low. We could not put enough people in the stands next year with a new coach to make up for the amount of money that it would cost to fire him. It is all about the money.
I personally think that Tasmin Mitchell will put a$$es in the seats next year. People have been waiting to see this kid in Tiger purple & gold since he was a 7th grader.
There is no real justification in firing Brady at this point. The guy just won 20 games. It will cost way to much to buy him out and then bring in a quality coach. I understand that the poor showing in the dance left a bad taste in many peoples mouths, but the bottom line is, he got into the tourney. He won 20 games. He has one of the best players in the country coming in next year. He has a solid class overall coming in. This will be a mature team next year. But the question is, with the SEC being down, was this year just fools gold?
I've been following for about 5 years. You really need to get off your Brady hating kick. It's getting old. The guy will be here next year. Deal with it. What is it about JB that makes you hate him so much. It cant be just on court production. You have to enlighten me.
Scrappy, my issues with him have been discussed her ad nauseum for a while now...They're common knowledge...If you've been on this site, you'd know about it...I have no desire to get back into it, once again... Needless to say, I'm not into rehashing it again...But, one last time, for YOU, Scrappy... I have problems with him during the Sweet 16 run...He got on Beshara so bad Brian had to be restrained, and that was on television on FSN...He played around with the rotation and minutes early in the season and p!ssed so many players off that Jabari Smith refused to go back into an early season game that same year...Stro himself went to Emmert twice during the year to request something be done about Brady's rants and especially his practices... Brady went after Kedrick Brown when he knew-if there was ANY doubt-that he would not get the scholarship back...He basically wasted an entire recruiting class getting a commitment that he realized VERY early on he would not get...yet he never rescinded the scholarship offer... He blamed Thomas Davis after a heated home loss to Georgia in front of media and on cameras that were rolling... He recruited JueMichael Young, then stood by while the guy contributed almost ZERO to the team, and told all the media at practice that, "Him not being eligible is what's keeping us down. We could dominate the West with JueMichael." Then, he got caught beating his girlfriend in the dorms, and wasn't just warned, he was arrested by campus police after they inspected the damage he did to her...Young was never disciplined, and was allowed back onto the team. Jaime Lloreda was recruited, and then flagrant fouled and technicaled and backtalked and broke the jaw of recruits and finally punked out on his team and the man that gave him so many chances...Ultimately proving how RIDICULOUS Brady was in not only bringing him in, but giving him all those second chances... Jamie missed not a single meaningful game for breaking the jaw of Paul Wolfert...and in the process of breaking said jaw, cost LSU MILLIONS in donation money that his father was about to broker for us... Brady then turned the situation on its ear, blaming a player he made every excuse for for his own shortcomings and his team's failure/flameout at the end of the year... Shawnson Johnson's grades were "late arriving" and thus he was not eligible for the ENTIRE first year he was on campus, thus depriving LSU of a non-replaceable probation-era scholarship that couldn't be replaced. Then, he gets eligible, and somehow flames out and leaves the program after what...three games? Again, while Johnson's not eligible, Brady was telling the media a repeat of the "JueMichael Young would have us dominating the SEC West," speech, only inserting his name...We never find out... This year, the Houston situation, which you yourself KNOW and admit to happening and taking place! Tack, Hudson, & Bass all telling him face to face that they hated him, and then Brady making the statement-to his team no less-that he would quit on them and just make LSU buy him out.... Beyond all that...Let's talk about Duane Spencer...Some here want to tell you stories of him being goaded into exploding, but the bottom line is, the guy went off during a JUCO game, and got dismissed from the team (LSU fans are supposed to understand what happened at that game, but somehow, the school he was at, his coach, and their administration didn't understand? hmmm)...This was the "cornerstone" of our recruiting class... We replace him with...Tyrus Thomas...someone who all of you can say at best is a "great leaper"... We get Tim Bush, Tony Gipson, Shawnson Johnson, Jaime Lloreda, and Regis Koundjia run off from the team somehow...But, we're all supposed to believe that it's not Brady's fault, it's those kid's fault...Because they're bad apples anyway... Finally...We'll end up with his off the court decisions...Which I won't get into...But, rest assured some of the posters here know what I am referring to, and it's pure garbage... Bottom line, if you can make an excuse that 20 wins this year and 3 NCAA appearances in the 8 years he's been here, with one Sweet 16, and an overall 2-3 record in the Big Dance is worth him retaining his job in light of all of that, then I'll shake your hand... Better yet, if you-OR ANYONE ELSE-can respond to all of those FACTUAL HAPPENINGS, then I'll shake your hand and let you know you'll be the first person to respond...Because no one ever has...They always talk about cutting the guy some slack, or giving his program time to develop, or even amazingly admit he's not a great coach, or talk about how he admittedly is terrible at handling the fans, media, and even his own team.... Address how you feel a man that allowed all that to happen is worthy of continuing on in his position...
Numerous coaches have done things like that. No body is perfect. I agree that some of those things you mention are bad. But, that is the past. I understand that Brady and those guys had it out in Houston, but, it seemed that on the court that those were mended. You talk about only making the NCAA 3 times in 8 years. You can count out the first two b/c basically there was nothing the guy can do. That would improve that to 3 in 6 years which is basically every other year. Although thats not great, it could be worse. I agree that there are some things that you mention that are just bad things on his part. But, I'm a believe in everyone makes mistakes. But, the guy has always been nice to me and nice to my family so I'm not going to go after him for stuff that didnt affect me. I'm also a believer in that everything is not the coaches fault. He did bring in guys with questionable character early on, but there has to be something about the guy that helps him get these other talented players in there. Hes getting some big dawgs to come in here. I'm also not one of these people who takes offense to the coach. If a coach doesnt want to come out and kiss peoples ass or do this and do that, there is nothing I can do about it. I dont go to games for coaches, I go for theguys that play. Brady has toned down a lot to. This may be a stretch, but I think the guy after the Houston debacle, may have done some soul searching. Those last 2 months, those guys were playing for him as there coach. I could see it. He was more quiet in the huddles towards the guys. He was more of a player friendly coach. This may not make up for the things of the past, but it appears he's trying. You have to appreciate that in some degree. One moment that I saw that made me see that maybe the guy turned a corner and was a player friendly coach was when he and Tack were hugging and jumping up and down after the win over Vandy. I thought that was priceless. You know TE, he might not be the best coach ever. He may have done some questionable things in the past, but as of now I'm looking at the present and future, and for atleast another year, he's your coach. Again, I want you to know that I appreciate your opinions TE. Your a good contributor to this site with yoru posts. But, I just dont agree with many of them.
This is classic...Yet another who can't answer...Look...I didn't figure that you could...Because the bottom line is that no one can...But, I appreciate you at least admitting it, in not so many words...
I dont see how I'm not explaining? I explained that I support the guy. But, I forgot that you have every answer to everything ever. Your the man. What do you do? How do you know all the **** you know? I'm really interested in knowing. I dont understand why if someone supports Brady, you feel it necessary to call them names and all this crap. If peopel want to support the guy, let them. Then, as is the case about every other day, you have one of your Brady hating rants on here. You start a totally asinine thread like this. Everyone who has every posted on here has had there say on Brady, yet, you feel it necessary to ahve people repeat themselves. By starting this topic, all you wanted to do was have 1 person say they supported him so you could go on one of your tirades about how horrible the guy is and this and that and all the bad things that have happened with him. Sure, the guy has had problems in the past, but all coaches do. Another thing that slips by people, is that coaches thorought history have all been douchebags in some way. But, the thing about current coaches is that everyone no matter how old they are in sports thinks they are huge ****. So, you get hug egos and coaches just dont have the same kind of affect on kids as they once did. Its tough to get players now adays to respect coaches. Thats a fact. That was in reference to the players hating Brady.
