if that is what you think, then you should have helped us when the brilliant TE was owning us and making us look like fools. we just were not smart enough or well spoken enough to handle that guy. a reasonable and trusted guy like you with a track record of correctness would have really helped us. seriously, everyone knows you have the most inside and most correct information. we dont even remember how you were sure you had inside info and knew saban was definitely staying. we have totally forgotten your stupid confidence and your incorrect BS about saban staying. we all realize that have you have the inside scoop, in spite of the fact that you are miserably and horribly wrong when you claim to know inside info. just bad luck, we know that. so if you think brady is a solid coach, we sure wish you had used your trustworthy opinion to help us with TE, who was "owning" us so many terrible times.
yes, mostly posts where he was critical of brady recruiting tyrus thomas, who TE considered to not be of sec caliber. obviously it is clear now that thomas was a terrific recruit. the problem was that in that instance TE was doing more than making real criticisms of brady, but making statements that were unfounded assumptions based on a no real knowledge. TE is like you in that he likes to make people think he has inside info and is particularly qualified to make certain statements. i'm trying to establish which people are reasonable and honest and offer opinions based on actual facts or intelligent analysis (and there are many) and who is full of BS because they want to be the first to break an "inside" story or they have a personal axe to grind. i think TE has questionable credibility, and i was supporting that idea by recovering those threads.
I have known John Brady since his days at Crowley High School and then again as an assistant, then as the head coach at Samford. Was shocked when he got the LSU job. His Samford teams played a style of ball that I thought was great for Samford, but didn't think it would work at a higher level. And as I look around the landscape of college basketball I don't think John Brady is the man to lift LSU basketball to the level of championship contender. Over the last few years, LSU Baseball, Football, Women's Hoops, Track & Field, Softball, Gymnastics...etc. have all been competing at a national championship contender level. The one major sport that has not been a genuine contender for a national championship is Men's Basketball. And, Brady has a terrible attrition rate among his players. That doesn't bode well for the coach or the program. I sincerely HOPE and WANT John Brady to prove me wrong because that will mean LSU will be in the Final 4 and competitng for the National Championship.
