Well, the Swiss guards still defend the Vatican!

My major professor commanded a recon platoon in the Italian Campaign in WWII. When the Germans abandoned Rome, the army sent them in with combat engineers to blow up the obstacles that the Germans had barricaded the roads with so that the tanks could roll in swiftly. He was clearing the roads in his corridor when a street stopped at a solid brick wall. Orders were orders, so he had them blow it down.

He told me, "And then a guy in a dress with a spear came and told us we were trespassing upon the Vatican and to please leave. So we left."

Damned effective those Swiss Guards. They made the US Army go around.

They ain't French. They are like Germans, but with integrity and ethics.

Oh, yeah, The government provides a military weapon for its 500,000 reservists and militia and they are required to keep it at home.

I'm telling ya', they don't go off on great lemming-like military migrations every century or so like their hobnailed cousins to the north, but they are no less martial.

13 Glaring iPad Shortcomings - Yahoo! News

Pretty much what I thought, the iPad is a toy, not going to even scratch the surface of eBook readers imo. Although I did see one cool app that I would like on an iPad, a marvel comic book eReader, but I can do that on my computer.

I ordered one today. I am looking at them for physicians to carry into patient rooms and being able to pull up their records, place orders and the like.

played w/ my neighbor's yesterday. strictly a toy unless you have a business specific app like Deceks is talking about. make no mistake, it is sleek and fast, but i just don't see a need for it at all.

Only time I do this is with sunglass. If we are outside somewhere during the day and go straight to dinner/drinks that night I will ask my fiancée to put them in her purse or else I will lose them. I don't think it's too much to ask considering all the ID's, cell phones, etc that I've held when she has on a dress with no pockets and doesn't want to carry her purse around.
