My current rucksack is older than you. And tougher than you. I've had it for 20 years and it served 20 years in the Swiss Army before I got it.

since this has evolved into yet another man-purse thread...

word of advice to the guys. dont ask your wife/gf/whateverhesheis to put your crap in their purse. we got our purses to fit our crap, not yours. get your own damn purse. or rucksack. or bicycle bag. or whatever cute little name you have for it.

if we get a jury of all woman, we'll walk. guaranteed.

Note: Tough as a neutral party can be. Not actual battlefield tested.

Not hardly, It's never happened. Not the Vikings, not Frederick the Great, not Napoleon, not Hitler, not nobody. Mountain passes are easy to defend and the Swiss are the worlds best at it. They have been heavily bunkered on a tremendous scale and can be mined in hours. Moreover, tunnels and key bridges are built with tank traps and demolition charges to be used against invading forces. Underground air bases are adjacent to normal runways. The entire country has deep air raid and nuclear shelters for its citizens. They use modern German Leopard tanks and US F-18s in their Air Force. Military service is compulsory for all males and they have large reserves.

But they don't have a navy :hihi:
