I dont think okie state was ovverated , they just had a bad game , and was looking ahead to Oklahoma . Also , with what happened on thursday , I dont think there minds were set for that game . I Would Love to see Okie State play Houston in the Fiesta . That will be a scoring fest !
First of all the BCS is an organized racket. Remember the very first BCS National Championship Game? I do. Florida State played Tennessee. Ohio State was overlooked. Later it was admitted that FL State fans traveled better so they "got the nod". Their starting QB was injured so their backup started the game and he did not have enough experience so they looked awful. Ohio State, with their impressive defense les by LB Katzenmoyer, was in my mind the best team that year. Was Oklahoma State overrated? I wouldn't automatically make that claim. Did they bring their "A" game? Didn't look like it but their weaknesses were exploited and there were lots of unforced errors. Iowa State DID bring their "A" game. Congrats to their coaching staff and athletes. LSU will have it's teeth and claws full when the Razorbacks take the field. Perfect opportunity for an "upset". If it happens could anyone state "overrated"? I would not take them seriously if they did. There is a lesson in there somewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
People making the "too far back in the BCS" argument need to keep this in mind. If the Harris poll voters and coaches wanf someone out of the NCG, they will vote accordingly to make sure it happens. If that means voting VT #2 and dropping Bama to #9 after the SECCG, then so be it. In the end the "best team" consideration may have little importance in the final standings.
Right. The updykes will be sitting this one out, providing LSU wins out. The only thing intriguing about a UA rematch would be a sequel to Feiners Saban/Mccarran blog where he loses 10 mill trying to win back the 5 mill he lost.
Bama rematch will screw up the sugar bowl. Since you can only have two teams play in BCS who would play sugar if both SEC are in NCG? Not to mention all the money and trophy for NCG going to SEC. I think someone else moves up to keep that from happening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The BCS bowls all have the same payout and the winner/loser gets the same. It would all amount to the same total. Example, in 2010 the Rose, Fiesta, Sugar, Orange and Title games all paid 17 mil.
