AP Poll out - LSU gains 3 first place votes

Jeez, I just hope we don't do the same thing. Personally, I'm still miffed at him for how he handled his recruitment and for the MANY comments he's made since then but he is unbelievably talented and USC did want him.....BAD.

 

He's slippery! They seemed to try to punt away from him...but they failed miserably. If I'm the coach, I'm gonna tell the punter to find out of bounds with this one! (unless I'm up by 30)

 

No, I didn't. I only mentioned them as the ranked (top 20 and then top 40?) teams we play on the road.

No, they "shouldn't" give us any trouble but that's what I thought last year about Oregon State and utla.

Still no way to know whether we'll surprise or disappoint or meet in terms of expectations but dominance or even Top "10-ness" in CFB doesn't last forever and I'm enjoying the ride while it's here cause I sat through the misery that was the 90's.

 

After seeing the Cal-Tenn game and seeing highlights of the other Pac-10 games this past weekend it is obvious that Les single handedly rose that entire conference up with his remarks. All the teams played like they had a chip on their shoulder (except USC ).:cry: :sob:

There was actually a plane that flew over the stadium right before the game started, with a Pro-SEC banner that had on it the comments about Juggernauts......not sure exactly the wording was but it was paid for by a Tenn. fan, supposedly. True story.

I do not know when this site was updated, so I will give Gilbeau the benefit of the doubt... But, it shows you how ridiculous the AP poll is if he is a voter on it and if the other voters are just a clueless.

It also shows how LSU has always had a hard time climbing in the polls. Local media (The ones who actually watch our games) put us as under ranked

That's only part of the ignorance Phat Phill displayes Saturday. You NEVER play your opponents game. Chances are you will lose. You have to go in there, and force your style on them. That's what helped Tenn. dominate Cal last year. For whatever reason, he came out there and tried to play Cal style ball, which his team is ill equipped to do.
