I shouldn't have to post common knowledge.

    It's disputed "knowledge". If you can't back it up . . .

Then feel free to dispute it. News is common knowledge unless you just dont pay attention.

That the law isn't working as intended as is shown by so many points. First is the fact the President had delayed implementing many portions of the law that are unpopular, specifically the "Cadillac" plan option for unions. The fact that young people are not signing up in the numbers required to fund it. The fact that the president and Ds lied, apparently knowingly, that many would not be able to keep the plans they had. The fact that as pointed out in this article costs are higher than expected. Yet he has kept the obviously popular parts as is usual for social programs bribe the voters with goodies and hide the true cost until too late.
The AHCA was presented as a more than a way to save money but as a path to insuring the uninsured which hasn't happened. So far it has not only not accomplished any of the goals set to be met by now it has put the harder ones off and these delays are both the proof that was poorly designed and developed and gives strong backing to the belief that it will never meet its goals.

Your quote is misleading and is further indication that you just take what the conservative media shoves down your throat and regurgitate it. Douglas Elmendorf never made this comment. In fact, not even close. The CBO report that you are referring to, which was released on February 4th, was the CBO's updated outlook for 2014 thru 2024 in which the CBO stated that a result of the ACA would be that as many as 2 million Americans may choose not to work because of the new benefit. Let me quote it directly for you: Page 117-118, "The estimated reduction stems almost entirely from a net decline in the amount of labor that workers will choose to supply, rather than from a net drop in businesses' demand for labor, so it will appear almost entirely as a reduction in labor force participation and in hours worked relative to what would have occurred otherwise rather than as an increase in unemployment or underemployment." In other words, because of the security of having access to healthcare, regardless of one's employment status, will allow many to retire early or for one parent to stay at home rather than maintain a job just for the healthcare. This is a good thing!

nice try. you are the one who made the allegation that it wasn't working so the burden of proof is on you, friend. I want you to answer my question, mostly because I do not believe that you can. Since the inception of the ACA, there has been one lie after another perpetuated as a means of scaring the American people into believing that it would crush the economy or that there would be death panels, etc. Systematically these allegations have been debunked, or at the very least, shown to be misrepresentations of the truth. Is the law perfect? No, and no one is claiming it is. But it is a hell of a lot better than what we had and better than the Republicans plan of........oh, that's right, they never offered an alternative.
