Are you really this ignorant about your own history?? It's sad that a bunch of middle class white men know more about you real history than you.

Ok if you want to be an uneducated militant I'm ok with that but can you at least get some math and history lessons?? That way you can better you cause instead of making them look like a bunch of morons.

The estimated start of the transatlantic slave trade was in 1450. The UNited States didn't because a country untill 1788. That means trans-atlantic slavery existed 338 years before the United States.

 

I didn't know white people just lived in the United States. Trust me, you don't know more about my people's history than I do. You want to know something thats pathetic. I didn't learn about my history(even though my ancestors were here as long as yours) in my school. I learned it at home and from my own studying. Thats the problem, you guys think you know everything and ignore the bad parts of your history. I admitted their were some idiot blacks in Africa who did sell slaves, but you guys are trying to act as if whites were some innocent bystanders. Ridiculous. Btw, before slave trade, whites sold their own into slavery also and called them "indentured servants". I guess yall will sidestep that also.

No I'm tired of blacks trying to paint a picture of this white devil invading Africa and scooping up it's children to sell to the world. Half the slave trade was black the other was white. I can admit that all day long.

indentured servants worked off a debt and then were free. Most of the time that debt was the cost of the voyage to the new world. Not even close to slavery. :dis: :dis:

 

then i want my reparation. you know, not all of our ancestors owned slaves. most of us probably have the same story. hell, one of my grandmother's didn't even speak english only french. my father didn't wear shoes to school and had to hitchhike from port barre to lafayette to go to college in the 50's. he didn't sit there and say "it is what it is." he went out and worked his ass off to become the man he is today and instilled it in his children. the problem is that the minorities think that i owe them something. i don't owe anything to anyone except my family.

 

nah, i haven't graduated yet. But since i'm black and go to tulane, i can't talk about this issue. I always post on this site b/c im a tiger fan too b/c im from Baton Rouge. I grew up watching them and their still a team i root for. i dont get caught up in the rivalry. But back to the issue. I really want to know what you meant by "now it makes sense". Please enlighten me oh great one.

 

most tulane students are liberal and some blacks think that the government owe them something. blacks and whites go to the same public schools and attend the same public colleges. it is not a color thing it is an intelligence thing. i used to live and work in new orleans and guess what, I worked in N.O. East. I was the only white person in the store. Did I get on my soapbox and say that there should be more white people working in the store, no. My co-workers were just as smart if not smarter than me.

I currently live in the northeast and it is a different story up here. people are discrimanted against because they are irish, italian, or jewish. I haven't once heard them say that they didn't get a job or into a private college because they are what they are. Trust me, some irish don't like the italians, catholics don't like jews, and the greeks really don't trust anyone.

 

So basically you believe that the govt policy up into the 1970s had nothing to do with the situation of blacks today. You're wrong. And now amazingly you know how black people think and their reasoning. Most blacks know discrimination exist and they understand the need for AA.

 

and i guess the government introduced crack and the AIDS virus to keep the black man down :dis: I seriously think we have bigger problems in this country then how a minority thinks whites perceive them.

 

what does it matter if blacks or whites enslaved whoever, none of us were born and it has nothing to do with us. cant you guys see that?
