Just talked to my sister, a nurse at Ochsner who survived the storm. She knows and has talked to many of JP deputies involved in disaster relief and rescue. The JP Sheriff, Harry Lee has a plan in place now to stop any EXPANSION OF WIDESPREAD LOOTING FROM N.O. As many of you may already know, Harry Lee doesn't take any crap from criminals. Simply put, looters spilling over from New Orleans into Metairie wanting to ransack stores can expect to be greeted with armed deputies ready and willing to execute them on the spot. :dis: It's going to happen! I fully expect reports of looters being shot on the spot in Jefferson Parish. JP deputies have told my sister "Don't worry about your home, baby, we're ready for them"! Just keep doing what you're doing here!
I am here. The looting is absurd in some places in Uptown. Others are not that bad. There are several locations of neighbors helping out others.
hey marine! a lot of us have been very worried about you. when things settle down, please share your experiences with us. knowing you they are going to be epic.
Welcome back! I hope everything is alright... even though there aren't very many good stories out of this situation!
I appreciate it everyone. I can't in my right mind tell people how great it is to have power, water, and food available again. I have been in worse situations mind you but the fact that my family was suffering and not prepared was what made it worse.
GREAT TO HEAR FROM YOU BRO! Now all we gotta hear from is Wingman. Anyone gonna try and take a boat down to Happy Jack and see if the SOB is still kicking.
MT- good to hear from you. where are you right now? you have power? My sister who was airlifted out of Tulane Med Center yesterday lives in Old Metairie on Carrolton between Met Rd and the canal. We have been trying to find out if she has flooding. any idea?
