i had a friend tell me pablo escobar would spend 10,000 bucks a week on rubber bands to wrap his money. im sure its a urban myth but he repeats it quite often. *I looked it up and it was $2500 a month so it was sorta true. lotta money and a lotta rubber bands. did they reference this in narcos?
Gangsters on Netflix is a good series too, it's an old A&E series with 2 seasons, each episode chronicles the life of a different gangster, none have been Cosanostra so far. There was a Mexican kingpin from Brownsville, first guy to be sentenced to death under the Kingpin law, Griselda Blanco, Alpo Martines, Taco Bowman, and I'm on Johnny Ng now. Interesting shit.
Both English and Spanish. American DEA agent actor narrates often. Only half way through and no mention of rubber bands. Plenty of expenses are discussed however.
Im about halfway through season 1 of narcos. Im not sure if its good but i like these type shows regardless. I remember reading books on the medellin cartel even as a kid. so this stuff intrigues me. I dont recall any m-19 stuff however. I havent seen black mass. good?
Do you really need a documentary to know that the fat cross-eyed guy in the white panel van that is offering candy and a massage to all of the 10 year old girls is up to no good?
Still interesting, and it's telling that Connely is the escape goat and no one else from the FBI does a day in jail or even loses a pension.
