Due to the lack of a consistant, passing game last year, AB basically served as a battering ram and we just rammed the ball down people's throats...

If all goes as planned and the qb/wr's play is much improved this year the running game will open up that much more...

JV did fine when the passing game was clicking on all cylinders... Joe Addai put on a "warrior" clinic against the Gators last year... Shy Carey ignited the GA win in '03...

Reporters say crap so people will talk about them and pay attention to what they say... Create controversy to raise ratings or sell more papers...

Football coaches get paid to figure out what to do when one of the top 4 rb's goes down with an injury...

    I trust the coach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek:ldskule:

Yes, I'm tired of conflicting reports. but it does give me something to do.

Another thing is, shockingly, the QB controversy. One day Perrilloux looks amazing, then it's obvious he isn't on JR & MF's level. JR is a leader, but Flynn is throwing better... AHHHH. I wish I was there & could decide for myself.

Having a new coach doesn't seem to bother the media types on picking Urban "legend" Meyer and the Gators from being ranked #3 by SI. They're having to install new offenses and defenses, while LSU still has the same Off. Coordinator and the defense is not being completely changed.

Personally I try not to get too worked up about these writer's opinions, cause that's just what they are, opinions, and they're entitled to theirs. Mainly what they're basing their prediction on is Meyer's great credentials (let's face it, they're darn good ones even if it was accomplished in a non BCS conf.) Miles doesn't have the great credentials to lean on just yet. I believe he will soon have them, but as of now I can fully understand them hyping Meyer more than Miles.

i agree with the report. i believe alley's loss will likely cost LSU 2 games in the regular season. UT and pick another.

the bread and butter of our team is now a question mark. in the sec, that's not good.

can we overcome it? sure. it lies on jr's arm and head.

When I read the topic for this thread I tought it was going to be about the cionflicting reports we're all reading about the QB's, not peoples opinions. Those aren't reports, those are stricly what people think may happen, a big difference.

I agree that losing AB is a big blow, you don't lose someone that good and expect it to not effect the team. It that wasn't true than he shouldn't have been listed as one of the main reasons this team was going to be so good in the first place. It's a question of how much slack others can pick up and can we get the production and big plays out of the others. I started off saying we would most likely lose 2 games and I'll stick by that right now.
