1. My humble opinion...a revolver is better for home defense for one reason. If it doesnt fire when you pull the trigger simply pull it again. Granted you only got 6 shots, but a good old fashion 357 round will disable the bad guy pretty much wherever you hit him.
Also My son bought one that is so small you can hide it in your hand, but beware when you pull the trigger on that mofo you better be holding on tight.

  2. Agree. Got my wife a hammerless revolver .38 special loaded with hollow points. She just has to pull the trigger no muss no fuss. Been much nicer to her since got it for her.

  3. I have a Ruger Security 6 .357 I have had forever but I wanted a single stack for concealed carry. Also have a Glock 23 40 caliber and a Remington 12 guage pump. And a Chinese made SKS.

  5. Agree. My only loaded, standby weapon is a revolver. Keep it simple.
  6. Mine is a 357 nickle finish with an 8" barrel my dad gave me 20 years ago. That mofo is so freaking accurate it ain't funny.

  10. Martin may scratch your eyes out for saying that. Simple is good for home defense. The idea that you can call the police to protect you when someone breaks in is a very very dangerous myth. 99.9% of the time it's way too late. The cops arrive in time to draw a chalk line around your dead body. A revolver is very simple to learn and operate.
