Agreed, I liked what I seen in Thomas. He seems to have some potential. He had a couple of nice hits.

When Freak and Ego are out the DL is definitely softer up the middle. We certainly not nearly as deep as in the past. LaCouture seems to be the top backup DL. He seems to get a nice push, still we need stronger play from the backups.

Kwon is our best LB. Period.

Kwon is playing very good this year. Looks like Chief's gonna play a bunch of LB's this year, good to have that option.

we'll see how impressive our defense is this weekend, for sure, against murray and gurley. this thread may expand greatly one way or the other.

Absolutely. Right now, I don't trust our defense. That may be confirmed after this weekend, or I may find more respect for them.

If there's not a threat of somebody breaking to the outside, I believe they can stuff the run well enough to make Murray have to pass. I AM worried about our secondary getting burned, but I'm counting on Chavis to correct the breakdowns that occurred in the Auburn game.

My main concern is Gurley. He could have a 200+ yard day based on what I have seen from this defense. We play small. We could get pushed around all day long.

North Texas stopped him up pretty good, and I damn sure know we're better than North Texas.

I agree that Kwon is the best one we have. Haven't seen much of Dieon Jones this year except on special teams, Lamin can tackle but he isn't the fastest guy, neither is Welter. Tahj Jones hasnt had the impact i had hoped for either. Linebackers and safeties are gonna have to step it up this weekend, Georgia loves to use alot of tight ends and throwing it tailbacks as well.

LSU has played most games out of base sets. Still see them looking for the second 11.
