Any word if Nick picked a starting QB for this week?

I sincerely hope that Mauck has a good, long pro career. Even if he gets moved around and has to wait a while, such as Jake Delhomme, I hope it pays off for him, cuz otherwise, he'll have left early for nothing. How we could've used his abilities and leadership this season, particularly with the young receivers. Oh well.

On another note though, has anyone else been wondering why we haven't been blitzing nearly as much this season so far? We've shown glimpses of it in each game, but it seems much more conservative this year. I'm wondering if Saban has been saving some of that for Georgia and Florida, but I would think he would've tried some more against Auburn. Don't know. Just curious what y'all think.

Randall will start, I would expect, and probably struggle as Georgia puts 8 in the box and dares us to throw. I hope Randall proves me wrong and comes up big in a big game. His play after the first series against Auburn was absolutely horrible and gave us no chance to score.

Russell may have to save the game again.

I agree. Obviously, I am going to pull for both QBs, but I don't see Randall getting it done. I think Russell will be in early and often. I agree that Saban should go with whomever gives us the best chance to win, but IMO that is probably Russell.

Saban won't make the same mistake twice ... Randall will start and stay in as long as he is playing well. I think the days of predetermining how much each QB plays are over. Randall's performance will dictate how much each QB plays!

IMO, Randall gets at least the first 3 or 4 series to get something going before we see Russell.

You can make the same argument about Russell ... he did nothing after his first drive as well. Randall lead us to a TD, Russell lead us to a FG.

I agree with both above. Watched the MSU replay again last night and Russell is by far the better QB. In the Auburn game, after Auburn's defense adjusted and started blitzing, Randall reverted to his all too awful play.
