He's one of the all-time greats. Edit: red, that is. And yes, he probably would have a different outlook.
been the same flavor for quite some time. its just most peoples taste buds have been numb not realizing the shit they were drinking.
I should charge rent for the space I occupy in that pea brain of his. He shits all over himself whenever hes rattled. Hes so used to rambling incessantly to himself bc 90% of the board ignores him its become normal. Like that dude under the overpass I threw a little debbie to recently because I actually thought it was him. I said taint and realized it sounded like I was possibly aiding and abetting.
I disagree. Red was way too stubborn to ever admit he was wrong. Les miles never did anything wrong in his eyes. Red was like taint in regards to having to be the contrarian, the big difference being red was actually intelligent and coherent.
I had to take some time to recover from yesterday. I think @StaceyO summed my feelings pretty well and I don't have much to add. That was as unprepared a team as I've ever seen. I don't know what they have been doing this past 8 months but it wasn't getting ready to play big time college football. THAT my friend is the responsibility of one Les Miles. As Stacey noted this trend has been accelerating since 1/9/12 and like her I thought Les should have been let go last year. The fact that he seems even more clueless than last year is saddening. I like the man and hate to see the train wreck he is the conductor of. The only thing I have to warn you all is to be careful what you ask for. With Aleava and the clowns on the BOS we could and most likely will be looking at a repat of the Archmanardo decade of mediocrity. That's NO REASON to keep Les but something we should be aware of. I believe our chances of snagging Harmon from UH are less than 10% another sad commentary on the state of LSU athletics.
I understand this view- we could end up with worse; HOWEVER, what we have is not satisfactory so it's just a matter of degree. Pull the plug.
