My grandfather makes homemade wine 15 gallons at a time. Matter of fact, I have an old whiskey bottle in my cabinet with his wine in it. That stuff will take the chrome off a bumper!! All you need is a small glass over a few cubes of ice and you have lessened your beer intake by a 12 pk. Personally, I don't believe making wine, or any other spirit is illegal unless you plan on crossing state lines (bootlegging) or selling it for profit (unlicensed business for personal gain). Man, popcorn popped his own corn in 2009. Just how old is this damn show? They busted the old dude and instead of going to jail he took the bullet. Sad, he was my favorite.
Saw that he was dead, didn't know the rest. Not surprising though. He was the most interesting dude on there.
My wife and I wondered the same thing. I am willing to bet it was filmed in 2008 or so, and due to the "legality" issues or statute of limitations type stuff they sat on it until now. We always wondered, why dont they just arrest tickle and the boys, I mean I am pretty sure them making moonshine on national TV could be admissible in court. So I guess they had to wait awhile or something like that. But yeh Popcorn took his own life.
