So I brought my empty propane tank to Walmart and exchanged it for a full one. Got it home, hooked it up, and my grill would not light. I didn't hear the sound of lp flowing like I normally do, so I thought it may be an issue with flow regulator on my grill. Reset it and still nada. Unhooked it and slowly turned it on from the tank itself and still, no lp. Took it back to Walmart and exchanged it for another full one. I should have done this there, but when I got home, I tried turning it on from the tank before even hooking it to the grill and still, no gas is flowing. I can tell the tank is full. Any suggestions on what the issue is or how to fix it?
Hank would be pissed at this but I say use charcoal. Tastes a lot better anyway Seriously I have never had that problem. I don't have a gas grill but I do buy propane sometimes to boil crawfish or do other outdoor cooking. I use to just refill my tank at a local hardware store but for several years I have been just exchanging tanks at whatever convenience store I happen to be close to when I need propane. Try a tank from another store
Yeh, I guess it could be another dud tank, but what are the odds? It's more likely that I've somehow caused this.
those tanks have a safety valve that prevents gas from flowing if your burner valve is open. shut off the gas on that end then try cracking it open. but you prolly did that already.
I did. Thanks for the suggestion though. I can't figure out why it won't flow, even when not connected to the grill. The grill has a flow regulator, but there shouldn't be anything preventing it from flowing when it's not connected to the grill, should there?
When you buy a new tank and you ain't got a flame Don't look at your grill cause it ain't to blame It's alright, it's alright it's alright, Propane
take your regulator apart if you have one and pull that spring out. the ball behind it may be stuck. if not just suck beer through the hose and get loaded.
