Digging potatoes is pretty easy. We just run the middle buster down each row. After that, we pick pick them up by hand. We just have a crap load of them, so it will take a while.
I remember picking peanuts with my gramps as a child being shocked they came out the ground with mud all over those fuckers. And I always liked raw vegetables out the garden and hated them cooked.
You mean the Outback? Hell yeah! I crave for the opportunity to not have to waller in the same mud my steak did. But I do prefer my veggies from the vine as opposed to the salad bar. So there is that.
Transplanted about 75 tomato plants yesterday. Green bell peppers going in on Saturday. That leaves us 3 150' rows to plant okra on in late May. We should harvest our first potatoes in about 3 weeks. On a whim, we planted some mustards about 5 weeks ago. They are coming along. As soon as they are big enough, we will harvest them, as it will be getting hot and they will go to seed pretty quickly. Onions are close, corn is about 18" tall and we will put the Nitrate to them this weekend which will make them take off. It's starting to look really good out there!
