I can't see him going in the 1st round this year with his knee history. Sure, he's had a full season worth of playing time with no setbacks, but the scouts will take that into consideration.
Legitimate first-round prospect and he's gone. But he would be costing himself a lot of money if he bolts for a 2nd or 3rd round slot. Next year he will be a consensus All American with prospects for end-of-the-year trophies. Very high profile, all season long. Enough to put him in the top 5 picks, where the BIG money is.
Some are saying he could vault all the way up into the mid first. This years draft lacks big time pass rushers of the past few years. I think he will look long and hard, cant blame him. I think he fits perfect as a rush LB in a 3/4 D.
I wouldn't take that post as you have. art game of the season is likely what he is referring to. He had a message earlier saying he will have a tough decision on his hands so we know he hearing good things.. However, he has to get his draft grades, etc... before he really gets to decision time.
Can't blame him if he goes but he has a chance to be one of the great defensive linemen in recent history if he stays. Glenn Dorsey set the standard and that was because he stayed his senior year.
Too early for Brockers, I think. Some team might take a chance on him, but not in a high round. He can be an All American next year and get himself into the first round perhaps.
He and Sam are both thought of as 1st rounders on some mock draft boards. Not a real great crop of DL coming out this year.
