Just imagine if he would have thrown the ball to the double covered receiver and gotten it picked off. I remember cheering FOR him when he got rid of it instead of taking the sack. But the very next play I cursed (and nearly punted the dog :) ) when he threw the ball way out when he was not under any real pressure.

I left after LSU failed on the 4th down, but I also have muscular dystrophy and have difficulty walking in massive groups of people. I wanted to stay but seeing as how everyone I was going to the game with had work or something else to do I had to go by myself and couldn't have made my way through the crowds. I also booed when MR through the interception on his first pass and threw the ball into the bench. Like you said though, I wasn't booing just him I was appalled by the whole offensive performance and the horrible refs, who made horrible calls on both sides.

Your situation is obviously different and understandable so my comment was definitely directed at you. I really believe that most of the booing, little that there was, was directed at the offense as a whole. I didn't hear anyone say "boo Randall" so how anyone can say it was directed at him only, especially when the entire offense was playing horrible.

    True fans

I feel all true Tiger Fans should do all we can to prevent the booing. It's embarrassing, the recruits at the games, who I sit near, can't be impressed by it. Last night a guy about 5 people down my row started booing. I looked at him and told him to STFU and he didn't do it any more. Obviously those of us that hate this behavior greatly outnumber the boo birds so make an active effort to stop it. :geaux:

I cursed at the booers, but I think some people were pissed that the team did not play for 60 minutes like Saban said. Randall's obviously on a short leash with the fans in general so that kind of reflected some booing. It is still shameful for that to happen. It seemed that a large majority of people still stayed for the whole game, (esp the student section). The ones that stayed were greatly rewarded...

We all have to keep in mind that this is the first game, and many mistakes will be made. Our O & D will only get better with each week. I mean remember how much better our defense got from the first georgia game to the second??? This young team just needs to learn to play together for 60 minutes and we will dominate.(I also reserve significant blame and probably some booing for Jimbo Fischer for D+ play calling).

I don't mind people booing. I try to avoid it myself. But, to equate booing (which is only getting caught up in the moment) to having "REAL CLASS" is MORONIC.

At the end of the first half, I was just yelling, "JaMARCUS, JaMARCUS, JaMARCUS". From watching a few practices (I know, not the best indication), I just thought that JaMarcus seemed more in control and had an arm that the other could never hope to have. Comparatively, it's like JaMarcus is in the NFL and the other two are playing in eighth grade. And, like many others, I just wanted to give JaMarcus a shot.

All we heard going into the game was that Marcus wasn't anything like the QB we saw in 2002. We heard that you "wouldn't even recognize" him. Well, that was DEAD wrong. Judging by the first half, Marcus has made "0" progress since two years ago. He looked lost from the break of the huddle and continuously threw off his back foot, or with some strange "skip, hop and jump" motion which looked "playground" to me. And, you could tell that Saban, Fisher AND the OSU coaching staff had ABSOLUTELY ZERO CONFIDIENCE in Randell's ability to throw the ball downfield.

JaMarcus, OTOH, seemed like he was IN CONTROL from the break of the huddle. He was directing people on where to go. From looking at the play, it seems he did audible to Ally's long run. WHile I see growing pains for ANY freshman QB (just like with Leak at Florida last year), I just feel more comfortable with JaMarcus back there. And, I thought the same thing from watching the practices.

So, YES, I was yelling "JaMARCUS, JaMARCUS, JaMARCUS..." at the end of the first half.
