Fact Check: Yes, the Mob Is Coming for You

    [IMG] By Michelle Malkin | August 5, 2020 | 10:53am EDT

NBC News and CNN exploited a single fake Antifa Twitter account to dismiss nationwide concerns of domestic terrorism as "viral misinformation."

The AP blasted "baseless theories" about encroaching violence and castigated "conservative news outlets and pro-Trump social media accounts" for reporting on them.

In short: Don't worry. Be happy. Blame Righty.

The "progressive" Anti-Defamation League — headed by Jonathan Greenblatt, a Clinton/Obama official and former George Soros-funded operative — amplified the fraudulent media campaign.

"There has been no evidence of Antifa or Black Lives Matter organizing or carrying out attacks on suburban or white communities," the ADL declared, and the "large-scale protests following the murder of George Floyd" were "overwhelmingly peaceful."
Fact check: ADL = All Damned Lies. AP = Anarchist Propaganda. CNN = Chaos-Nurturing Network.

Since this agitprop campaign two months ago, armed extremists allied with Antifa and BLM have indeed staged escalating incursions into the heartland. Yes, the mob is on the move. Yes, the mob is targeting "suburban neighborhoods and white communities." Yes, the mob could turn up at your home at any time.

And no, in the age of American anarchotyranny, you cannot rely on the police, nor elected officials (Democratic or Republican), nor even mainstream Second Amendment organizations in Washington, D.C., like the National Rifle Association to stand with you in your time of need.

Just two weeks after the Denver police purposely stood down and watched my friends and me come under attack by BLM and Antifa at a "Back the Blue" rally, Colorado Springs police sat by and did nothing on Monday night as a residential neighborhood was shut down by cop-hating provocateurs. Toting AR-15s, carrying walkie-talkies and openly defying state laws prohibiting targeted picketing, the mob marched unobstructed into the streets of Pulpit Rock to the private home of a Colorado Springs Police Department officer. He had been cleared by a grand jury a year ago in a police-involved fatal shooting of an armed robbery suspect.

Local news outlets filmed black-clad BLM menaces in camo and combat boots ignoring cops' orders to stop blocking motorists. Militants cursed, threatened, and waved their weapons at law-abiding citizens, one of whom called 911 for help once the mob let him through. No officer came to assist. Instead, CSPD officials posted on Twitter that they were "reminding" the mob "to not block the streets" and were issuing two "shelter in place" orders advising residents to "stay indoors; please lock and stay away from windows and doors."

"Protect and serve" has been replaced with "tweet and retreat." Run and hide. Kneel and grovel. If it's coming to my once-solidly conservative community, it's coming to your town, too.

    View attachment 9303
Former City Councilman Sean Paige condemned the fecklessness: "We have a 'law and order' mayor in Colorado Springs, right? So why is John Suthers letting thugs get away with this kind of dangerous/threatening nonsense in residential areas?"

Twitter user Sandi K. responded to the CSPD police posts: "Announcements? Reminders? How about arrests? Pathetic response by law enforcement. Unbelievable!"

Another enraged citizen asked CSPD: "How are the masked protesters who are in full tactical gear and standing down vehicles with their hands on the stocks of their rifles not menacing?"

I asked Lt. James Sokolik, CSPD public information officer, why no one was arrested. "We monitored" the protest "extensively," he told me, and made an "ultimate decision not to intervene" because "it took care of itself." That passive language echoes the Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen's diffident downplaying of the riot at the "Back the Blue" rally as having "devolved" on its own, with no one and no entity actually accountable.

"But I don't want to give the impression that this was some sort of blase thing," Sokolik warbled.

Oh, no. Who would ever get that impression? After all, the situation was being monitored.

Colorado Springs native and Benghazi Marine hero John "Tig" Tiegen, who works with the nonprofit Faith Education Commerce United, rejects such abject passivity in the face of extreme aggression.

"You shouldn't have to hide in your own house and be held against your will for fear of bodily harm or death," he told me. He issued a call to action when he heard of the mob hijacking of Pulpit Rock. A large group of his friends joined him to defend and protect the homeowners from direct assault: "We were definitely a force and the neighbors were glad we were there."

"It's time to stop living in utopia instead of reality," Tiegen counsels.

    Amen.

Reject the lies. Ignore the smears. Lock, load, and lean on each other. Domestic tranquility, like anarchotyranny, doesn't just happen on its own.

    The mob is ruining Chicago
100 arrested, 13 officers injured in Chicago overnight after police shoot man

The unrest led to street closures, notably in Chicago's Loop, the center of the city's downtown.

Hundreds of people swept through streets of Chicago overnight, injuring police officers, smashing store windows, and looting and damaging property after police officers shot a man they say was armed, officials said.

More than 100 people were arrested and 13 officers were injured, Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown said Monday morning at a news conference.

"This wasn't an organized protest. It was an incident of pure criminality," Brown said. "Criminals took to streets with confidence that there would be no consequences for their actions. I refuse to let these cowardly acts hold our city hostage."

Mayor Lori Lightfoot also called the actions criminal.

"We are waking up in shock this morning," Lightfoot said Monday. "This had nothing to do with protected First Amendment expression. ... This was abject criminal behavior. ...This is straight up felony criminal conduct."

The shooting happened Sunday afternoon when police responded to a call of a person with a gun, according to the city's police department. Officers said they tried to confront a man who matched the description of the suspect when he fled on foot, firing toward officers as he did.

Two officers fired back, striking the man, identified as a 20-year-old with four arrests for burglary, child endangerment and domestic battery. He was taken to a hospital, where he was in stable condition, according to the Civilian Office of Police Accountability, which is investigating the shooting.

Police said a firearm was recovered at the scene and three officers involved were hospitalized for observation.

The officers involved will be placed on administrative duties, which is department protocol.

Brown said "tempers flared, fueled by misinformation" about the shooting. Police started noticing social media posts encouraging looting and were then called to reports of a mob scene at about 12:20 a.m., he said.

The injured officers included a sergeant who was struck with a bottle and another whose nose was broken, Brown said.

Officers who were arresting a man with a cash register were shot at by people passing by in a vehicle, he said. A security guard and a civilian were struck by gunfire during the early morning hours and taken to hospitals.

Five guns were recovered during the unrest, Brown said, bringing the total of weekend guns recovered by police to 149.

The turmoil led to street closures, notably in Chicago's Loop, the center of the city's downtown, according to Chicago's Office of Emergency Management & Communications.

Downtown train and bus services were shut down, according to the Chicago Transit Authority, and the bridges over the Chicago River were lifted, further limiting entry and exit to downtown. The Illinois State Police said the Chicago police had asked for help blocking expressway ramps going in and out of the city's Loop.

At least two Chicago colleges closed campuses Monday in response to the unrest, and City Hall employees were told to work from home "due to restricted access to downtown."

The looting spread from stores and other businesses in the Loop to several other neighborhoods, including River North, Streeterville, Lincoln Park, the Gold Coast and the South Loop, NBC Chicago reported.

Brown said access to downtown would be "restricted" with a heavy police presence starting at 8 p.m. Monday and lasting until 6 a.m. Tuesday. The department would also monitor outside neighborhoods.

"This is a beautiful city, and CPD will not let criminal acts destroy generations of hard work," Brown said.

CPD Deputy Chief Yolanda Talley had said earlier that misinformation about the age of the man who was shot caused an emotional response from residents.

Talley said the disruptions were "a direct response to one agitator being on the scene, getting people all worked up without having the full story," NBC Chicago reported. During a news conference, she asked people to "take a step back" to allow a dialogue.

"We want to hear what they have to say" Talley said. "Right now, in this climate, everyone is feeling a certain way about the police, and it's really unfair to us. It really is."

Lightfoot was more stern. "To those engaged in criminal behavior — let's be clear — we are coming for you," she said Monday morning. "I don't care what justification is given, there is no justification for criminal behavior."

"Our citizens deserve to be safe," she added. "Our officers deserve to be able to do their job without having to worry about shots fired."

The clashes occurred amid a spike in gun violence in Chicago this year that has hit communities of color particularly hard.

Brown said there were 31 shootings over the weekend, including three murders. Nine officers had been shot in the last seven days.

All to create an impression that Trump is bad and we need to get rid of him. This is pathetic. Even more pathetic is there are people who support it, enable it, and believe it is a positive thing.
