I see where he kind slaps him in the helmet a little bit, but if you look closely during the slow replay, you can see that he's not stomping, but trying to wrench his foot loose, from Tebow holding onto it.
The first hit was a PUNCH, not a slap. And his foot was loose before he intentionally stomped on him, at which point it was grabbed by Tebow. THEN, he tries to "wrench his foot loose".
I think he is a great football player, but I think once he is the only QB there will be some exposure with him. The speed and strenght of the SEC is going to beat him down. Not that UF is not going to be good OR him. BUT I think the SEC will equalize pretty quickly what is making him "Special" right now..
I got up to answer the door for Fed Ex...and walking to the door I realized the mistake...just came back to fix it...what can I say...type so fast I make mistakes all the time... As to the record, it was a symptom...kids coming in late to meetings and the "special ones" not receiving any discipline, those that weren't seeing playing time being jumped all over. Skipping off-season workouts...S&C coach getting on them, going to Asst. coaches and HC and getting no support. There's just two examples...but, the result was the record...like I've said, symptom, not cause. I could go on and on and on and on...
Yea, you're right about the punch. I did'nt see that right hand. I was talking about the open hand left. My bad. Doesn't matter if he stomped him or not, that was bad enough.
To succeed in the SEC, Tebow has to be able to do more than run between the tackles. Maybe he has an arm, but we haven't seen it yet.
So much of the system is based on short passes, crossing routes, etc...not a lot based on a strike down-field. From high school film, he had a good touch on those passes...different story now with the speed in the LB and DB's corps. However, that has to be weighed against the mis-direction getting those players out of position...and his WR are just open.
