We have no side in Libya, it is a civil war.

Bush recognized them and restarted trade. The goddamn Brits gave them back the Lockerbie bomber. But this was for show after he saw what we did in Yugoslavia and Kuwait. He still repressed his own people and suffered for it in this "Arab Spring".

    WHERE have you heard this?

WHERE did you hear this? The Muslim Brotherhood is a very old political group dating back to the 1920's. They are mostly very old men and have had a non-violence policy dating back 40 years. They broke with Islamic Jihad decades ago and have never had ties with Al Qaeda. Bin Ladin despises them openly.

The Libyans are behind this revolution, they have been shut out of the country's oil wealth by Qadaffi. There are many factions among the rebels and I'm sure that a few that will be hostile to the West. But those are not the one's in charge right now. They can't be worse for us than Qadaffi.

This isn't an our-side/their side situation. It's a civil war and we need to stay out of it.

No that's why the Euros are there.

That was the tripwire for the coalition. Qadaffi screwed up big time when he promised a bloodbath in Benghazi.

No one cares about sub-saharan Africa. They have little oil, they have not attacked the US, they threw out the white colonials, ruined their economies, and now war upon each other. They made their own beds, let them sleep in them.

Yes, and people on the left are pretty t'd off, real liberals. Here is a foxnews article, that seems to be the only thing that is understood on this board...

I was the Hillary supporter, remember? Not you. I'd rather have her too. But the final choice was between Obama and Twit 'n' Twat.

Let's see, your own article says:

Facts: The National Journal magazine, in its annual vote rating, said Obama moved left last year to the "most liberal senator" rating "after ranking as the 16th and 10th most-liberal during his first two years in the Senate."

Americans for Democratic Action, the liberal activist group, and the American Conservative Union, the conservative activist group, also rate Congress members on their votes. Their findings describe Obama as one of, but not the most liberal U.S. senator.

    And I offer . . .

If Obama is a full fledged liberal I'm walking on to the LSU football team next year and starting at quarterback.

My ass. We set a no fly zone, our Pres goes on TV telling their leader to step down and get out.

We are obviously on a side. The problem is we don't know who the "other" side is yet.

This would have been the first time. Frankly, I don't share your optimism. History tells us that the UN doesn't make a move until at least a couple hundred thousand are dead and sometimes not even then.

Why the hell are we the ones that have to get dirty, and spend our money on this crap? Why can't England, or Russia, or some other country do it? Those missiles cost over a mil a piece. Not to mention the jet we lost.

honest answer, because those countries are mostly pussies except for england. the united states and the UK are basically the only two countries in the world that have any ****ing balls whatsoever. everyone is else is a bunch of whiny bitches that are more than happy to watch a slaughter happen, then complain if the US stops it.
