I think I admitted to not being able to do what he's done. I said that I CONGRATULATE him. In my freshman year, I took 19 hours. That was after 2 years away from high school. It was hard, but I did it. The classes I am taking now are the same exact classes I would take at a UC or CSU, but it's a little cheaper where I'm at. I'd rather pay $26 a unit vs. $250+ for the same stuff.
That's cool, and like I said, I'm not dissin' you, but you know how hard it is. I guess it was wrong for me to point you out like that, but you must know that even general ed is tough. In fact I think it is a lot tougher than narrower-fields ujst because of the fact you are learning a little about everything. In some cases that is tougher than learning a lot about one topic or field... After LSU JR will end up in the NFL barring any major injury. He will make enough money to last him a lifetime, and after the NFL, he will still have an upper edge being that he's an LSU grad (provided he graduates of course...) EDIT: I'm 20 and a junior at Nicholls, so I doubt you'll have anything to be ashamed of...
I'm not ashamed. I guess I trust everyone here. Haha... I'm 21, pursuing my masters in psychology (criminal), and work on average 28-32 hours a week. I wasted so much time in General Studies before narrowing my field (others: Engineering, Law, Pediatrics), so I know what is for sure! I realize how hard school is in general. It's not something to take lightly. The worst part is the selction of words or verbage on a message board about such a topic. It can come across worse that what it is. Wholeheartedly, I welcome your criticism.
OK guys, we've been on the kid long enough. He has a right to speak his opinion just like the rest of us. That's the beauty of America. Good luck to CajunPunk and JR on their educational endeavors! Next topic....
