    He wanted a new challenge. Yes fan reaction may have been a problem but I'm sure it is not the reason he left. How many times is one guy going to want to climb the same mountain?

    I hate it when people talk like Nick Saban is some dead beat dad. TAke ten dollars and buy a freaking clue!

    wrong. chef is right - it was all about the control hyzienga finally conceded. a negotiation and saban got his way.

    I don't think money was the decided factor at all.

    The guy was already making $$$ out the ass.

    I am sure the Dolphins salary was a factor but the control and challenge was much more of an influence, imo.

    Saban was to much of a man, and to confident of his ability as a coach to even worry about losing games and negative fan reactions. He played to win!

    I guarantee you he did not leave LSU out of fear of the fans.

    This is a stupid thread. Saban owned this town. He had built himself to the point where he could do no wrong.
