Now I am convinced that BB014 is actually 14.

Then what's the point of playing a conference title game when there's nothing to be gained from it? If you want non-champs to participate, just eliminate the title game and have the conference champ be determined the same way division champs are with tie-breaker schemes. Then all the NC tourny participants start off on a level playing field, having played the same number of games.

I see your point. However, who says there is nothing to be gained from it. Take last year for instance. Lets say LSU had a loss but made it to the conference game. One more victory could move us up in the rankings (provided they do rankings after the conference championship).

I just want the top 4 teams to play for it, not some lightweight from an easy conference.

There you go with the name calling again. Very juvenile.

Would you not agree that LSU would stand a better chance of playing for a title if they were ranked #2 or #3 in the country and had not won their own conference?

The playoff scenario I posted about would disallow them to play for the title, since they had not won their conference championship unfortunately. But every game would still mean something in a season, including the conference championship games, and if the championship is won on the field, all the better right?

Easy there Badass Leblanc. You know there is far more juvenile comments going back and forth around the forums than that.

If you want the 4 best teams to play regardless of conference champs, then that determination has to be made using an equal body of work. That can't happen with a subset of teams playing one extra game than the others, whether that benefits those teams or not. Ditching championship games is the simplest solution, but they're too big of a moneymaker for conferences.

    Lol

I'm gonna ask nicely, if you want to call me names, please don't use my real name, thanks.

I'm no badass, but I am who I am. If you don't care for it, block me. I..do..not..care.

When you first came to the site, you had some pretty decent opinions....meaning you weren't completely irrational. Now I've noticed two things about you:

    1. You're a troll.
    2. When pressure mounts, you fold and whine, then resort to calling someone names who isn't a mod.....which leads me to believe: you're soft. Have a nice day. :D
