    The unemployment rate fell by 0.4 percentage point to 8.6 percent in November, and
    nonfarm payroll employment rose by 120,000, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
    reported today. Employment continued to trend up in retail trade, leisure and
    hospitality, professional and business services, and health care. Government
    employment continued to trend down.
  5. We lost 300,000 jobs. Another 300,000 gave up and are not included in the stas. Underemployed are not included in the stats. 8.6% unemployment is nothing to crow about. When the part-time Santas and elves go off the payrolls the number will jump again.

    An yes government jobs along with Aerospace and Defense jobs to be cut around 200,000......maybe McDonalds can hire these people?

    Retail and Financial Service will continue to cut jobs. Pharmaceuticals have and will continue to cut jobs.
