    how team should look 2k6

C - Liuzza (if he doesnt leave)
    1B - Mayer
    2B - JP Padron
    SS - Hollander
    3B - CJ
    OF - Sprowl, Stewart, Broschofsky

Pitching I have no idea... probably enough Jucos to fill our gaps everywhere

Clay is a Sr. I seriously doubt we get Will back either. I also think Quinn is a Sr. this year.

Clay is the senior, not Will. Put Will at first and stick Mayer at DH.

My bad, thought he was a Junior, probably Padron at 2B then... will be a very young team next year. If Liuzza leaves Smoke will probably try and get a good juco catcher or a phenom from HS... we have Gerard and Victoriano but who knows

I like Lane just as much as the next guy but how could you say most of his losses have come from not enough run support. He is the Friday pitcher he is pitching against other team ACEs should our ACE have the highest BB and ERA out of our 3 weekend starters. The same can not be said today if Lane pitched the whole game LSU may not have even gotten to bat, did you watch, listen, or even read about the game he didnt get out of the first inning. I love Smokes loyalty but at some time enough is enough, you cant put the team at risk because of what a player has done in the past.

He actually should have shuffled the rotation LAST weekend, in anticipation of the tournament. It's called being a step ahead of the game.

Face it, man...Smoke botched this one.

And with such overwhelming consensus, I wonder where our resident apologists SabanFan and cajdav1 are.

Since the SEC is playing a CWS format in five days, you have to win the first game to have a shot of moving on. Laval should have adjusted the rotation long ago, not just last weekend against MSU. Mestepey has had nothing for five or six weeks. As far as run support, Smith didn't get any, either, but he kept MSU off the bases long enough to win this past Sunday.

Going 2 for 4 is better than 2 and out in the SEC, but 2 & out is what the Tigers face today since UT will pitch Lochevar. Dirks better have a virtually perfect day or Lochevar better be really off. Delmonico took a big chance in resting Lochevar an extra day & it could come back & bite him, but Lochevar has good stuff & the risk was a lot less than Laval sticking with Mestepey in our first game.
