OK dude, we're talking about the history we have to work with. It isn't like I'm the only guy asking in this city why hasn't a struggling Lane possibly been moved to Sunday. I know what happened in Dirk's last outing but what has happened all season? How many Friday outings do we have to give up before possibly the change is made. That's all anyone has asked. It's frustrating......one guy's sturggling most of the SEASON and the other two are not for MOST of the season. What would you do? Possibly win one out of 10 Friday outings with the same guy and win 8 out of 10 Saturday outings and continue to start the 1 out of 10 guy on Friday?

Lane has always been a warrior. Lane has usually pitched well against Moo U. Lane is coming off full rest, Dirks and Smith are not. It isn't far fetched to think that even if Lane gets somewhat roughed up that we would still win with Johnson on the mound for Moo. Trust me, it was a no-brainers. Every coach would have sent Lane out there.

SEC West Champs baby. 6 SEC series wins in a row. I'm not complaining. No matter what happened during the regular season, things could always be changed in the post season. And Smoke had every reason to wait until the regional to do it.

We lost another first game. Case closed. How many times does someone have to close this case?

I agree Tirk.....the move should have been made about 6 SEC series ago.

    Why change it now?

So after we're booted from the tourney you want him to change it then? That makes less sense than him changing it before the SEC tourney. Let's go through it for 10 weeks and then change it? Think about it. You gotta go now. Been hard headed for this long might as well keep going until it's 2006.

If you haven't figured out why Lane started today's game yet then you are being too hard headed to even try to convince.

I'll make it easy for you Craig...

Smith - pitched 2 days ago
Dirks - reserved for elimination game b/c > Lane (pitched 3 days ago)

There are no other guys that could pitch the game sept a young guy like English...

why not chance pitching a guy that a few wins away from all time wins leader at LSU... hell I'd take that gamble, especially with the fall back (piece together 4 bullpen pitchers for one game) plan. Even though we had to do the fallback plan anyway.

Question: Do you see the Yankee's bumping Big Unit down in the pitching order when he sucks for a few outings ?

Im gonna laugh when Lane pitches a perfect game in Supers.
