Just to keep it balanced, there are many good young people representing the State of Louisiana. A few weeks back my family and I were shopping at the new Pinnacle Promenade here in Northwest Arkansas. I spotted two young men sporting LSU Athletics t-shirts. I walked up to them and commented, " now there's two guys who know a great school". They said, "Thank you Sir". They were from Monroe and were VERY respectful to us using words like Sir and Ma'am, thank you etc. The elders that were with us mentioned how refreshing it was to see young people who were respectful and used good manners. I told them that in Louisiana, kids are still being raised in that 'old school' manner. I was very proud of those two young men on how they represented :laflagwav and my hats off to their parents. It made me miss home but I'm excited as I'll be coming home to BTR for Thanksgiving week and the Hog game. :hihi: Cheers!
Put them in Death Valley and see how they act. I agree with you on the not all young students or LSU fans act this way. I thought that was a given.
Hell that's nothing. I once saw an attempted murder at Tiger Stadium. A group of three had this Ole Miss guy on the ground kicking him in the head with steel-toed boots. But then two other LSU fans walked over. I thought I saw a faint nimbus surrounding them. I remember them clearly because they spoke English with just a hint of Aramaic and interspersed their conversation with beatitudes. They lay hands on the poor Ole Miss fan and resuscitated him. Just a touch! Of course, the other LSU fans kept kicking him in the head with their boots. They weren't about to let up you see. It was quite a site and I'm sure these individuals were merely conduits of unseen forces waging an epic battle who's scale defies the imagination of mere mortals. As the poor Reb lie there, caught betwixt the waxing and waning of life, the good LSU fans gained the upper hand when they sprinkled a vial of some dark liquid around his bloodied head. Could have been Jack Daniels. Could have been something else. I'll never know but as the poor Reb lept to his feet the LSU demon fans howled in outrage, covered themselves in purple cowls and scampered away into the darkness.
I was just trying to balance the negative story with a good one that I thought ya'll might enjoy hearing.
What were you doing when this was goind on? We have to stand up to this. Great writing skills by the way. I felt like I was reading a book. Must be that LSU education. I flunked out. I only wanted to be a student durring football season. It was great while it lasted but mom and dad put a stop to the funds.:hihi:
This is it exactly. There is a general debasing of the culture and lowering of what used to be community standards. It pervades everywhere. The people who do it unfortunately stand out. The story that starts this thread is certainly not indicative of anything besides one jerk who happens to claim LSU!. Hopefully this eventually turns around.
