In all fairness how can you critique him under probation? He did get to the Sweet 16 in the middle of that so I think he should get credit. Since the end of probation we have finished at the top or near the top of the West.
Saban fan, I thought I had the honor of making you walk away from this forum!!:sob: :sob: :bncry: :bncry: just kidding
The bottom line is LSU's basketball program has been at the same level with ULL's in the last couple of years. Take out Swift who went to LSU because LSU is LSU, not because of Brady and they have the same program. How can a LSU fan support Brady when he is recruiting and competeting against ULL. Tulane, UNO, & La Tech's program are all down in the dumps. He should be able to recruit in La., there is nobody else to compete against in the state. If LSU's goal is to get to the NIT and every now and then go the the NCAA tourn. and maybe win a game on a very good year then Brady is your man. If LSU would like to once again be in the tournament year in and year out and actually do something then they need to 86' Brady.
I'm offended by this statement! What did the dog do to deserve this kind of treatment!? I just can't stand it when an animal gets abused. There seems to be too many cases like this in the world nowdays. Btw, I know you were probably kidding but it just bugs me when I see these kind of comments!:dis:
I guess that means that no other university is allowed to come in and recruit the state of Louisiana... what a dumb post... Yeah take out JJ Reddick and where would Duke be right now... get a clue...!!!
Um....Probably where they have always been--the top 10. I'm not a Duke fan by any means but they always have players step up year in and year out. They are always contenders.
So, even though Brady recruited Swift to LSU, he gets no credit? I don't understand what you are saying. If Brady is recruiting the State of Louisiana, then he has to recruit against the other state schools. It's the same state. I'm trying to make some sense of your post, but I'm not having much luck. What are you saying? Better yet, never mind. I don't want to tax your brain unnecessarily on a work day.
Come on now Mr Elephant.. You take away 30 points a game from a team and expect them to be in the top 10. While someone else would have had to step up to take his place, it is very difficult to replace a guy scoring 30 + points a game. He is a special player to his team just as Stro was to LSU. We would not have made it to the sweet 16 without stro and Duke this year would not be a final 4 team without Reddick.
Very good arguement about the probation, when looking at those numbers you kinda forget about that, especially with his sweet 16 team in the middle of that. Also I was getting my stats off of lsusports.net... and you KNOW they're not talking about probation. One thing that came to mind when thinking about how that sweet sixteen team lost is that we lost because of our lack of depth... how many years have we had that problem...? Every year our starting 5 can compete but all the commentators talk about is our lack of depth. I agree that the kids are VERY exciting to watch and I catch them every chance I get. I just wish I could fade this misconception that you have to think the coach is doing a good job to be supportive of the team. I think they can compete with anyone in the country, and they've shown it, I just dont think he's the right guy for this job. We'll see. Hopefully this year's postseason isnt a repeat!:bball: :bball: :bball: :geauxtige
