Yeah, me too. They have a pretty fierce defense, though. I dont think they have given up a touchdown all year. I know they didnt allow Auburn a touchdown...or was that USC, wait, maybe it was Ga. Tech.....oh thats right, all of the above. :D

On the one hand, I don't believe in any sort of a jinx if I talk about national championship fantasies because I don't have a direct impact on the games being played. I've learned over the years that you can't look past any SEC team (used to say except Vandy before 7-6) or you could get snakebit and hopefully the players realize this also. However, I'm almost positive there are players that browse football forums such as this one. I know Saban probably tells the players not to pay attention to the internet talk but that's almost impossible these days. I'd hate to be one of the posters that inflated their egos and led them to believe they could just "show up" and defeat teams like South Carolina.

Also, it appears Chuck wasn't paying attention to this particular thread so the comeback from supa was warranted, IMO.

I agree that everyone is getting way ahead of themselves. Personally, Arkansas scares the hell out of me.

Any of the remaining SEC games have a chance at beating us (some more than others, of course). I just hope that past examples of upsets (LSU over #1 Florida in 1997) and present-day examples (USC, Oregon) are being drilled into the players' heads so that they don't get over-confident, and so that they continue doing what has gotten them to where they currently are.

Not necessarily. Nebraska didn't win the Big XII and they still got in.

THAT is a gift I wouldn't expect to see repeated in my lifetime. At least it shouldn't be. But it sure was fun to see the Tigers gum up the whole works that year!

Oh don't get me wrong...I thought it was pretty funny too...but I just didn't want this thread to turn into a LSU fan vs. Auburn fan rant, like many seem to.
