Tirk, glad to see someone else sees the severity of the Broussard loss. Addai is an amazing athlete and one of my favorite Tigers of all time, but I firmly believe that he is not an every down back week in and week out. Vincent is an absolute toss up - which Vincent shows up? I love Shyrone Carey and I think he will have a great year, but we've seen that kid get arm tackled leaving the huddle - he's going to have a terrific season, but he is not a red zone threat and a guy other teams have to gameplan for. We are hearing great things about this Korte kid and he may relieve some of the pressure. I think if Hester can contribute and be consistent we will be fine in the end. However, one minor, nagging injury to any of these kids and I'm terrified that our vaunted "stable of running backs" will suddenly be ridden too hard in the SEC schedule. Broussard was ready to put the pain on people and I think he was certain 1,000 yard guy who was set to make people pay and force teams to gameplan for him. No need to be doom and gloom, but I'm trying to be realistic when looking ahead...
Here's my two cents. I think we're going to miss Alley when it's third and one or when we've got first and goal inside the opponents five yard line. On the other hand I suspect Jimbo is burning the midnight oil scheming plays and players to compensate for Alley's loss in those situations.
