This is obviously a somewhat sad and discouraging bit of news. I had really been looking forward to seeing him recover and do some of the amazing things we all expected him to do when he arrived on campus. However, if there is a positive thing to come out of this it may be that Percy Harvin percieves our depth to be a little thinner now. This could be a factor that might drive him to putting on an LSU hat come Feb. It's a long shot but I'm trying to look at this with a "glass is half full" attitude. Good luck to Amp in the future...unless that future is in Gainsville.:bncry:
Re: Amy Hill Who the hell is Amy Hill? and shouldn't she be listed on one of the other Amp Hill threads? EDIT: This message was originally typed in response to the fourth Amp Hill thread, though this was entitled "Amy Hill."
Re: Amy Hill This must have been an irrational decision.....it looks like it came out of the no where. He had positive comments at fan day, so something must have recently gone down.
Re: Amy Hill funny, the y on my keyboard is located nowhere near the p. maybe, our boy drober has one of those funky keyboards that look like an inverted x games surface.
The hell with this kid. Everybody stood by him and pulled for him and supported him thru his injury and rehab for 3 years, and this is the thanks we get. When I saw how long it was taking him to rehab the knee, I pretty much gave up on the notion that he was ever going to be any kind of contributor, but I certainly didn't think he was a quitter, either. Apparently he is. At least he isn't taking a scholarship from someone more deserving any more. Now the team can move on without him being a distraction. Am I being unduly harsh on the kid? Perhaps. But he isn't one of ours anymore. And that's HIS choice. So screw him, and everyone who looks like him.
Lets give him a chance to think this over. Sometimes we make decisions in haste and then upon reflection they dont seem so wise. Let's give Amp a lttle time to think this over. In a day he may be back on a plane and realize that seeing it through with an education is best.
