Because I don't take extra effort to make sure that my message board posts sound as intelligent as I once claimed to be 6 years ago?

Or maybe it's because I believe in God? Either way, you are what you are, and it certainly isn't "moderate".

I have 3 years of experience in the health care industry, which is 3 more years of experience than you have. There's just a little example of me having far more of a clue than you when it comes to discussing the health care issue in this country.

One of the reasons that it may seem that way is because I hold down a real honest-to-goodness job that requires me to produce tangible products.

i am gonna side with the deek on this one, even though i spearheaded the efforts to make fun of his IQ claims. we were calling out red's politics and he called out deeks brains. probably not really fair.(i am aware that have done this plenty to poor deek.)

also in terms of being an extremist, red's lack of belief in god is definitely an extreme viewpoint. never in history has a truly mainstream politician been an admitted nonbeliever. right now it is the territory of extremists. even left wing obama has to lie and say he is christian, in order to not seem extreme.

Funny, I coulda swore I remember democrats trying to convince everyone that we aren't a Christian nation any more. Why on earth would he have to hide such a thing?

Not super relevant but this topic reminds me of this vid...

even democrats have to pretend to be religious to get elected. polls show that people would rather vote for a muslim or gay than an atheist. we almost certain to have an outwardly gay president before an honest atheist.

trust me, there are places in america where people do not approve of atheists. if i gave damn about my extended family, even i would have to lie about it.

anyways red is agnostic (although i would argue that he is atheist, but that is too extreme for him to admit), which by current american standards makes him a minority extremist.

your video makes fair points. europe is in serious trouble, being packed with poor arabs. i would much rather have mexicans.

although, in their defense, the arab immigrants i know are all incredibly nice and couldnt be friendlier. although it is possible they are planning my death when i am not around.

also obama is clearly lying, he is not christian, he is atheist. but he is ambitious and dishonest, and he will lie if it means more power for him. being atheist is an immediate death sentence for any political career. the reason for that is simple. people are super ****ing morons.

I think anyone in Washington who does not have a degree in economics should be sent home. Also, anyone who HAS a law degree should be sent home. On top of that, if the only job you've ever had was in Washington D.C., you should be made to leave, never to return until you work somewhere else for a while, like 5 or 10 years maybe. This is just a start. We need people who know how to manage money, not spend it blindly.

You mean like the people on wall street that just sent the economy down the toilet mismanaging their companies while stealing all the money? What we need is people that live in the real world that actually have to balance budgets on a monthly basis if you want fiscal conservatism.

Only $140 billion a year? Wow! And I thought it was going to be expensive. Let us not forget that Medicare originally cost less than $7 billion a year. By 2000 it was up to $224 billion and when the prescription drug add-on became law in 2006 that added billions more to the cost. The income tax originally was applied only to the top 1% of the population. History tells us one thing: taxes by their nature increase and expand.

The way to keep the cost down to use a market-driven approach. The Washington Post article suggests the Obama's health-care plan may be going in that direction with "individuals, small business and eventually larger businesses..." purchasing insurance plans from private carriers. I hope so but I am skeptical. The federal government will still regulate the market and subsidize the purchase of health care. Once the government gets its foot in the door, look out. Its role will only increase over time.

The article is wrong about Republicans not offering other options. They have recommended small businesses purchase health care through associations. This would keep the government out and costs down. The problem their ideas are not listened to by the Democrats who refused them a seat at the table when the Obama health care plan was developed.

It is not, as I have already showed. You can keep repeating this quaint notion, but I will continue to shoot it down.

Give me a break. You'll be hard to find a thread in which I didn't have an idea.

Again untrue. You just like to bash red when you can't defend your point. Stop this childishness.

you mean unlike obama who has never seen a payroll in his life or created a real job or held a job not on the backs of the taxpayers.

yeah, he sounds like a good candidate for ripping out the current system with his ideological-driven assault. theres never been as blatant a power-grab as this dude, much less in a 6 month time. he is just steamrolling everything in his path for political expediency.

he should have at least hid it better before exposing himself. he blew his cover far too fast, even for the blind followers who are already seeing the obvious.

i mean even I never expected this guy to be such an economic illiterate. but hes driven by his ideology which was clear from the beginning. thats the only thing that makes sense anyhow. no way is he this stupid. he can see hes crippling the country financially but his socialist views drive him. this is the sad reality of the situation and theres 3 and a half more years of the same. hopefully the country can survive in his wake.
