    Agreed but do a search on the internet and I bet the first things that pop up are his VP debates

    Ahh so you are saying that just because you were an American hero for your time in the service doesn't mean it will translate to a great political career.

    Ok you are correct it's not first but when I scrolled down its the first video listed. Either way I dont mean to demean him, just to point out that even someone like him who lived a first rate life can be remembered for one small negative thing.

    Maybe slightly askew from the intent of the thread, but has anyone read Peter Hathaway Capstick novels like "Death in the Long Grass."? Dude led quite a life Safari hunting in Africa, learned of all sorts of tales that others experienced, and was a great story teller.
