The secondary is beastly simply off of their talent level. Nothing to do with the QB's. Mathieu has a bloodhound nose for the ball, and superior play recognition, and fearless. Claiborne is as smooth as milk with long arms and great hands agility. Simon: Tall, long, and tremendous ball skills and hands. The spring game spoke for itself. All passes were good passes, that he needed to make top notch defensive plays to defend. Simom was also standout WR in HS. Loston is an assassin, and no one was more shocked to see him drop the sure pick in that Ole Miss game than I was. Be prepeared for many Tiger Fans to deem Loston new favorite player once he gets his feet wet and comfprtable. Also was a standout WR in HS, so I'm not worried at all about his hands are ball skills. Reid. should have been rated a five star coming out of Dutchtown in my opinion. Ball skills, physical freak, and when he hits you you go down. Brooks and Taylor or both veterans of the system that I turst wouldn't see the field if Chavis didn't deem them reliable. Hence: me sleeping and smiling all at the same time. This secondary was super talented 10 months before the March 9th, spring game. :tigereye:
